| Dont chuck the PC rubbish at me Sean...my father and grandfather before him fought for freedom and fairness against bigotry and bull dust and I have done my bit as well. I have travelled with an open mind and I understand the fears and behaviour of ignorant people. What they dont see is the problems they are creating for their own children to deal with and I dont want to see a NZ like you are espousing - sitting back in your lounge chair and making huge generalisations based on your selective view of the world.....wake up.. |

| Sean... how come you dont march against Yankee imperialism....there is only a few human bombers compared to the number of american/western troops actively killing in muslim countries....one thing heavily in favour for Clarke with me is she kept NZ on its own path, a free thinking, independant, country. |

| I agree that there are good Muslims. However there is a militant minority that is extremely bad news. Its also kind of hard to tell them apart. World wide Muslims have difficulty getting on with there neighbours and they always blame the neighbours! |

| Put it this way. A new study in London showed that 1 in 5 muslim students believe killing in the name of islam is sometimes justified. 1 in 4 believe that the UK should incorporate some aspects of sharia law into their legal system. What country would allow foreigners to come in and demand the laws of a country be changed to suit their needs, what's more when those laws directly contradict the native laws of that country? I'm not from NZ but you people are treading in DANGEROUS waters by turning your heads to this. |

| President Sadat was assasinated when he was loudly denouncing the actions of these radicals who called themselves muslims...muslim religion has strict rules against murder of fellow human beings...but of course there have been middle east political issues involved in this instance...esp. Israel and Palestinian conflict.... |

| ...the media also played a large role in the misconception we have towards the real situation of the muslims...it's true the murderers are from a Islamic State, but that doesn't mean they are true muslims...when these radicals attacked the tourists in Luxor, Egypt in 1997, they were all killed by the government soldiers. In Arabic newspapers they are denouncing the actions of these radicals...but they are rarely sensationalised by western media... |

NZ will never be an Islamic state, we are secular for heavens sake...you are being paranoid and weird about a religion you know nothing about. Islam teaches peace. The terrorism rife throughout the world has nothing to do with Islam per say, but money, land, power and politics. It wouldn't even be of interest to the western world at large if there weren't great quantities of oil and gold at stake. Who's looking after their own bottom line? |
