| Yep you do have to say more. It is not possible for NZ to practice selective immigration based on race or religion and your statement that to be found in possession of a bible in most muslim countries is absolutely false. It is true only in fundamental muslim countries ruled by clerics of which there are few. Your view of muslims explains exactly the point I have been trying to make. If we dont integrate we will end up in the same place as Britian. Australia is heading that way already. Our only hope is tolerance and education on both sides..intolerance and ignorance always ends up in a s... heap to the detriment of us all. You know we cant even stop bigots coming into this country which only fuels a problem that doesnt exist here but could very quickly become one and is on the way. |

there are many christian churches in muslim countries. Pakistan has many, also Afghanistan who is predominantly under the thumb of the notorious taliban has statues of buddah. For you to say many muslim countries wont allow bibles is erronous. Why didnt you mention bibles are forbidden in Russia and China? Because they are not islamic countries i fear. Also why is it that when a Japanese person or American or anybody else for that matter goes on a killing spree they are not labled terrorist for doing so. Islam means submission to God (Allah)is arabic translation of God. Islam is about peace harmony surrender and submission its about serving one another its not about killing and murdering, its not about plundering and suicide..in fact suicide is forbidden in islam..jihad is about fighting to protect the right of ones religion in a more personal sense its the fight we fight everyday to do the right and abstain from the wrong..for the muslims that are about violence and killing, they must answer as we all will one day for the crimes they have commited against humanity they are terrorists they are radicals not the muslims who follow islamic teachings... |

excuse me, but i'm a muslim, and i wont be demanding my own state any time soon, neither will anyone i know.
the places where you're talking about, the muslims have a long ancestral background there. some of them are natives of the land, but are being descriminated against for their beliefs. nz is a haven for most muslims who live here.
and for your information, most of them came here with their own money (forget the regugees) and have very high qualifications, but have to suffer the effects of a very racially biased community. i know one who went to look for work, and the employment office told him by the word...
people who look for employees usually look at the last name, and because your last name is not english, or is foreign sounding, it's not likely you'll get a job.
i know women who wear the burka, and are KIWIS born and bred. no, they dont have immigrant ancestors (unless you count the first immigrants to nz), they are 100% kiwis. the only thing that would stop a veiled woman from participating fully in nz society is the society itself, which looks at her like she's hiding a bomb under her clothes, not a pregnant tummy.
if anyone should be demanding an independant state, it should be the maoris. muslims are just here to make a better life for themselves and their kids. |

you're right. it's absurd. my best friends are non-muslims. and i met many non-muslims who are dearer to me than many muslims. you seem to have run into a few bad experiences, that's all. as for me, i have two little ones and i'm just as concerned for them as you are for yours. nz is their second home, and they know to respect all, regardless of faith. belief might separate us, but we are all in this world together. we are all from one father and one mother (unless your ancestry is more ape-ish). |

people keep on bringing in iran and afghanistan and saudi as evidence that islam is dangerous.
first of all, iranians are shia', not muslim. there is quite a huge difference in their practices. for example, they whip themselves in the remembrance of their saint. most muslims regard them as deviants.
afghanistan was a troubled country untill the taliban got hold and controlled the situation. some people even after the downfall of the taliban hold the same values, hence, the people didnt mind them much.
but in both cases, the government rules it's own people in the way it sees fit.
if america thinks capital punishment is ok, who are we to argue?
as for saudi, you must know the difference between the saudi sharia court and the state court.
some rulings which the state court (nothing to do with islam) passed were simply labelled as, "saudi islamic state ruling" or "wahabbi government" by the media. but it's just a normal court which the judge has the descretion to pass whatever he wants, no root in islam whatsoever. |
