I am reading your messages from last two days...
I am a muslim.
jdyh...I appreciate people like you will help New Zealand to remain a peacful country.
Me and my family are too busy in our day today life to worry about policits, Islam or clerics...
We are paying taxes and to be honest we have more than 90% of friends who are non muslims (Christians) and I in main steam of NZ life like any other Kiwi...
Do you guys really think we will ruin New Zealand which one of the most peaceful country of the world?
Me or my children in no way wants to change this country...
We love what New Zealand is now and we will contribute at our best to make it a strong country as any other Kiwi would do so. |

SHAHIL, I wouldnt worry about planza's uneducated post.
I'm not muslim, however I have muslim friends who like yourself are no different from any other career and family orientated tax-paying kiwi.
planza's thread was obviously created to provoke division, out of pure boredom and lack of education or common sense. |

I am a Maori/Kiwi/English/and the rest...Like you I want to have a peaceful NZ.. You enjoy..Just ignore the rantings on here.. Neat place to vent your feelings..Sometmes it gets out of hand and gets personal..Nice to get an input from a practising muslim
though..I've learnt alot of positive stuff on here I chuck the negative in the disposal basket..(laughing)lol..lo l.. |

I have nthing against those very few moderate muslims who intergrate well with our customs,but sadly ,majority of them are not!!!!They're the ones that im concerned about.Dont call me a racist for being concerned.Radical and extremist muslims lives amongst moderate muslims.Thats a real danger to our society in NZ.
To all of you have that have met some good muslims,good for you,they're not the ones that im concerned about but then again,how well do you really know them.They seems to show you ONLY what they want you to see!!!!! |

I am currently in a Muslim country.
They treat me with courtesy most of the time. The only ones that don’t drove camels 2 years ago and are suddenly rich. I can name the country but will probably be beheaded. (a law that should be introduced to murderers and rapists in NZ, might actually stop the crime)
Anyway, they definitely have a different view on the world, but what is more scary is the high opinion that they hold of themselves. Put them next to any other culture in the world and they would lose poorly.
The oil will run out soon in this region. We will all be in trouble then. Or forge ahead to a new lifestyle that is more eco friendly.
Don’t bag the religion, it is no different to any other religion. People brought up to believe a certain belief. Same as you Christian.
The world would be a better place if people stopped acting if the past is controlling them and live in the now.
I know people that are contributing the current financial crisis in the states to the bible. Or is it more that the controlling factors in the States are directing the financial problems from the bible.
Words that were written 2000 years ago still controlling the powers in our world.
How could this have happened? Power and Greed. Not without religious backing Muslim or Christian.
Religion is the root of all evil. |

I agree athiests don't start wars - it's all about religion and greed that do
The people of Italy are currently protesting the sight of mosques over running their country and the sound of people being called to pray about like 5 times a day - the muslims are putting up more mosques everyday and they want to stop the building of anymore - I sure wouldn't want that happening here in NZ |

Living in a muslim country and being from NZ I think I can make an educated opinion.

It is not that they pray 5 times a day, If you ask me they are more dedicated than Christians. It is just that you are not used to them.
If Muslims come to NZ and set up a few mosques, who cares. Here the calls for prayer come out 5 times a day but in NZ I doubt it. To be honesty from what I have seen the Arab (muslim, they are not all muslim) people blend well into the community in NZ.
Try being a Christian here, you would be out of luck. Quick hide.
That is just the way it is. No point crying about it. |

I live my whole life with Muslim people. What I can tell you is this..
Given then more mosque and more people, the so call brother hood of muslim will be formed, and that is when you will see that they will demand everything, such as their own swimming pool, all restaurent must be "HALAH" - that is what exactly happen in Malaysia. Good luck New zealand... |

| The notion of an atheist is an oxymoron in itself. They do start wars, they wage wars and they kill people in wars just like anyone else, they are not squeeky clean virgins who sit around innocently by-passing all political issues of the state, they get involved in the state and politics including issues of war. |

we have a small country, muslim world is far too big.the influsk of these kind can overtake this country in a sort period.we knew that but becouse we are christians we were taught to love one another and we don't stone one of the christ sheep if he/she converts away.we try hard to bring them back in the flock.
the western christianity is diminishing gradually west europe is facing this cause of......
got to remember that government is born out of religion
for centries and always like that. |
