| National always gets in the poo when they get into power after labour because they are the ones that have to tighten the blet to fix up labours overspends. Look at what happened after the last labour govt. They had Rogernomics then and thousands of farms and businesses went bankrupt. Now we have Cullinomics or should that be cull em nomics and the country is going down the gurgler again. Typical of the cleanup after every labour govt. |

Mr Cullen for the past 9 years the world has boomed unlike the rest of the world you have grown our economy by 2%
At your governments outset you were going to promote a knowledge economy
What a joke |

After starting this message and reading the various answers, I realize how hard it will be to make some blind Labour voters see the real story.
Firstly we did not loose 8 billion in the last 6 months, the government told us a pack of lies. As a man with a keen interest in financial matters( I am only a small investor) I realized quite some time ago that Cullen and Clark were rather economical with the truth. I sold my expensive home 2 years ago and got rid of my shares about one year ago. We are now in a reasonable position
to weather the storm. Unfortunately many people got caught up in the spending hike, bought 2nd properties at high prices and will suffer significant loses. To my labour voting readers: Nothing has changed over the years.
labour always makes the same mistakes and unfortunately Rob Muldoon, also
made some serious errors, for which we still pay today. But the current departing government told some outright lies and than to come up with the slogan that their campaign was based on trust is the worst mistake. It will be very difficult for the next government to get us out of these severe imbalances. o don't start pointing the finger before the next government has been elected.
Thus choose your party carefully. |

| If Key withdraws from tax cuts to be funded by borrowing - he will get my vote. Labour under Clark has become the most cynical and dishonest party this country has seen. If they couldnt manage the country with fiscal responsibility over the past 9 years only fools would put their trust in them to manage it in the coming term. |

Notice Clark & Cullen trying to blame the current world economic climate? The treasurey figures were calculated before the mess in the US, our finance companies started falling over two years ago, our current NZ "recession" has been with us since September last year and the economy started contracting before then.
If you need further convincing, we have been overtaxed $110 billion in 9 years with nothing to show for it, and the two causes of NZ's financial deficit are recorded as;
a) lower taxation revenues, the business economy is not as profitable, 800 people per week are nowing paying tax in Australia, and
b) Government spending is too high. The economists have been telling Liebour that for several years, Treasurey has warned them repeatedly.
Liebours response? New BMW Limo's all round. Unprecedented growth in Public servant numbers and beneficiaries. A train set Cullen paid $500m too much for. Treaty settlements accelerated ($2b), New overseas posts ($600m), New Aid for Paicific Islands ($2b) and why not throw in $50m to do up government house?
Oh and the Carbon Schemes billion dollar Greens bribe and many billions more to come. A huge negative impact on NZ's economy compounded by letting the Chinese "free trade" with us. Manufacturing in NZ? Gone by lunchtime. Helen Davis & the $6 billion dollar man? Gone by lunchtime, Nov 8 08.
GO JOHN GO. We need you to sort this socialist shyte out!!! |
