I was actually surprised how many people knew someone who was fraudulently on a benefit.

| Yes xtra, probably not far wrong in saying a raw nerve has been struck. Indeed I do know of three on DPB and another couple on sickness benefit, one of them pressures the Dr for a certificate too. |

| Yes I know someone who has been on a benefit 30years,has 3 houses but lives with girlfriendshouse.Been reported but nothing done as he is not getting rent from the properties so no declared income. |

She cam here 10yrs ago & has never contributed one red cent to this country yet is using our system to the fullest. She drives round in a $20k car & even has hair extensions, a 30k wardrobe, etc, etc. Whilst a prostitute she slept with an American Psychiatrist & he took her on a world trip. He also wrote her a note for WINZ so that she never, ever has to be work tested. The system is a fricking joke & whilst some people really need this help, scum ike this make me ooze icky thoughts....Kia wipes brow with a cool flannel & consults her little book of sweet & sunny poems to calm herself....:) |

| my flatmate is on the Sickness..gave up her job and now smokes weed all day. I dont know if Im jealous or Fudged off! probably a bit of both. Our system encourages it. Maybe national will make some changes...I dont want to be paying our for tinnies and alcohol! |

There are thousands of dole bludgers out there and it pi**es me off paying tax to pay for their living etc. Just driving past state houses in Otara and seeing expensive cars, boats parked outside a lot of houses poses the question; how the heck did they afford such luxuries? I know a lot of people who are deliberately playing the game to get a benefit.
Some low-lifes are living together and claimed a benefit, mothers on DPB fleecing WINZ, healthy buggers claiming a sickness benefit assisted by a corrupt doctor, low-lifes assuming more than one identity etc etc... come on John, show Helen how it's done. |

| Yes it's disgusting alright, when you look at the people who work 40 hours a week and still struggle to feed the kids or put gas in the car, then you get the rip off artists like one example a 25year old girl on DPB with 7 year old son who lives like a friggen wild child cus his mum puts all her DPB money on her 10K car loan and stereo loan all her son classes for is a meal ticket, no clothes , no shoes, no blankets on his bed, bowl of rice for dinner at 11.pm on school nite if he lucky and the ex stripper just keeps bluding. She's been reported twice and of course as wioth most things nothing ever comes of it. Yes KIM you know who you are treat your f*kin son with some respect! poor little 7 year old. Already been taken by CYF's once and they give him back... c'mon how will we ever succeed .... honestly and they try and say our country uis going places.... yea it seems the ones on the benefit and DPB are doing great while every other f*ker struggles! WHAT a JOKE!!!! |

While I sit and listen to this dribble about how unfair it is that you watch your friends on a benefit enjoy life , whilst you work, I am reminded about the last threads that everyone sparks off about...Some thing If I recall how labour is leading us to a nanny state, where they are commanding what and how we live our lives... funny isnt it
that is exactly what you lot are doing.
What business is it of yours how those people live, do you feel insecure enough that you must control how they live or why they live like they do...Do you people have nothing better to do with your own lives that you must make it miserable for others..

It is very much our business because WE i.e. YOU AND ME and EVERYONE ELSE in NZ who pays tax or collects a benefit legally, are PAYING for it.

| Well I don't know about you lot, but if I was living with someone that I despised I'd move...or make them move. I wouldn't want to get tarred with the same brush. It is not condusive to HOW I want to live and my home is where I want to relax and live my life how I want.If someone is home all day they are using up more of the power and creating more mess. crystal....have a quick think for a minute about who's money it is that they are wasting! im assuming from your response that you don't work and don't pay tax for people to sit on their asses all day.
Realistically mate it got nothing to do with the labour... The doll bludgers will always be doll bludgers regardless of whos in power. But if you are too small minded to see that then maybe you should pay my tax contribution as well |

| you know, we could always take away any sort of benefit altogether, then we would have alot of homeless people and crims living on our streets, burglering our homes, old and sick people dieing in our gutters and lots of new born babies being abondoned on doorsteps rubbish bins etc. is that the sort of country we want? |

Crystal it is very much our business, what is wrong with you? Obviously you dont care that the tax you pay is funding these sort of peoples high life that they live.
As for these sort of people having visitors with flash cars, it is possible I guess but not very likely. |

| nomaz, i live in a area where i am surrounded by beneficiaries, alot of them are old people whos families dont care to look after them. a few are solo mums and dads. most have no cars, as they cannot afford petrol, or maitenence of their vehicles, or regos etc. i spend my evenings and afternoons taking these people shopping because i know how hard it is for them otherwise. all of their houses have the bare basics for living, and we swap veges out of gardens. they do have flash rellies with flash cars, but i dont see them taking care of them. |

| i do also have an alcoholic friend with a mental disorder who is on a sickness and drinks all day, but id rather i paid my tax for him to sit at home drinking instead of flipping out and robbing my house, or someone elses. |

Please understand that this post does not criticise in any way those people in need who are genuinely on a benefit.
We are talking about people who are quite capable of working but instead would rather choose a career on a benefit.
These people do exist and I know this because some have bragged to me that they are so smart that they can fool the system.
It is people that are aware of other such fraudulent beneficiaries that this thread wants to hear from.

Q: How does this thread separate "those who are in genuine need" from "the bludgers", its threads like this that blanket everyone on a benefit as being bludgers when its the minority who are committing this crime.
Just because you see something like a flash car in the driveway or a boat doesnt mean these people are on a benefit or that these assets belong to them.
I see well groomed men and women all day who are addicts and wife beaters, but you cant tell that just by looking at them! |
