| what are your views on the USA's mindset for the possibility of its first black president? Will the scene be set for another J.F.K? What message if any do you think it would send out to the world if he were elected? |

| Yep...she's a real bum choice which ever way it goes....and I wouldn't give a s.h.i.t. if it were not that the yanky dollar rules the world...maybe one day, that won't be the case and they can drown alone on their own vomit |

Sadly I think you might be right,Nicolte.
Still think I would rather have the US dollar ruling the world than the Chinese!!!
It is only since the 1960's that blacks were allowed on the same bus as whites in the US,racism was not only practised in South Africa!!! That sort of thinking takes a few generations to dilute!!!! |

| Argh, the guy is an idiot. I sure hope he doesn't win. Hilary should've won, but all the sexist folk couldn't handle a woman running the show. They'd rather put a man without enough experience in the running. Whoever wins, everyone loses. |

the question shoudl be are you pass being a so bigoted that you can handle a guy who isn't white being president...
yep sadly it coudl still be about the packaging...
I like what I hear and I think for the sake fo that country taking an alternate tack they need to get this guy into office otheriwse it's more of the same BS only with another republican in office. |

| After George Dubbya they might be ready to elect any Democrat candidate. He dragged them into an unnecessary war in Iraq and a lot of them must want their soldier kids back home safely as soon as possible. I think America could also be ready to elect a black man. I don't really know what Obama stands for, but doesn't McCain stand for many of the same things as GWB? |

| That's pretty stupid to think just because he's black he should instantly be President. He should be president if he's good enough to be it, not just because he's black. That's like saying Winston Peters should be Prime Minister just because he isn't white. It's pathetic that colour dictates who should win, black or white, instead of the merits of the candidate. He has a lot of rhetoric and little substance, while John McCain is just too old and will probably be the same as Bush. It looks bad whoever wins. |

| I'm not saying anyone should be elected USA pres. on the basis of their colour. Too right, US people should elect the candidate they feel will do the best for their democracy. Just saying, if the question means would Americans refuse to elect the best candidate because he's black, I hope not, and I think not. |

I am not so sure that the U.S.A is actually ready for anything. It appears to me to be a tardy self obsessed empire in spiralling decline.
Though at this time in world history that may not be a good thing.
I was ready for Hillary. but sadly America was not.
Obama is a great orator, but then so was Mussolini....
I like Obama but I think him somewhat idealistic and inexperienced. Which I do not think is good for America....or the rest of us in these darkening and uncertain days of world politics.
Mc Cain is yester years choyce, no moving forward with him, thats for sure.
Lets hope the U.S. get it right, for we have all had eight years of idiocy in the White house.
I hope too that the ballot decides and that Americans don't do what they have done before with potentially great leaders.
That is... assasinate him on the way!
May our gods bless us all. |

The kkk is almost dead in the US. There are chapters still around but their power has been pretty diluted. And most Americans dont mind having a black man being president (well, half black anyway). In fact, during one of the primaries some news show was going around the typical southern town polling people and several said they would vote for a black man but not a white women!
As to Obama, his military stance is sorely lacking so the rest of the world will have to step up. I have no idea which is better except my choice did not make it. So again stuck with the worst of two...least this time the "worst" of one still appears tolerable.
Will tell you this much...military people are for the most part voting McCain...least the ones I know. |

Hers's something a little unusual
The Jupiter/Saturn conjunction and the Presidential death cycle
An edition of Ripley's Believe It or Not, published in 1934, noted the coincidental 20 year pattern of presidential deaths between 1840 and 1920, with question marks inserted for the upcoming 1940 entry. This implied that there could be a continuation of the cyclic pattern, which was fulfilled when Franklin Roosevelt was re-elected in 1940 and subsequently died in office in 1945. Based on this 20 year death cycle, many astrologers correctly predicted the death of President John F. Kennedy when he was elected in 1960. Similarly, it was expected that President Reagan would also die in office, which almost came to pass with the attempted assassination on March 30, 1981. The following chart shows the pattern of past Jupiter/Saturn conjunctions.
Year elected President Year stricken Cause of death Sign
1840 William Harrison 1841 pneumonia
Capricorn 8°
EARTH
1860 Abraham Lincoln 1865 assassination
Virgo 18°
EARTH
1880 James Garfield 1881 assassination
Taurus 1°
EARTH
1900 William McKinley 1901 assassination
Capricorn 14°

1920 Warren Harding 1923 heart attack
Virgo 27°

1940 Franklin Roosevelt 1945 stroke
Taurus 8°

1960 John Kennedy 1963 assassination
Capricorn 25°
EARTH
1980 Ronald Reagan 1981 / 2004

Alzheimers
Libra 8°
AIR
2000 George W. Bush ----- -----
Taurus 22°
EARTH
Astrologers believe that Reagan was spared assassination because the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction was a special one in that it was also a "Grand Mutation" - when the conjunction switches to "air" signs. All the previous conjunctions involved "earth" signs. According to one astrologer, "The Grand Mutation symbolically corresponds to enormous changes in the law and order of man on earth, his administration of the globe, that last for about 240 years until the next mutatio ... |

Obama is actually against the military; I have seen enough of his speeches. He wants to pull a lot of the US defense out of Eurasia and almost immediately get out of Iraq. As to Afghan he wants a minimal amount of troops their and to bring them back soon too.
I dont disagree that we should bring the troops home, but not at the expense of leaving an unstable government. The US shoved its nose into everyone elses business and now needs to make sure some areas are at least self supporting and not going to go into civil war.
Pulling out fast, without a stable environment, results in creating more terrorists. Pulling out of Eurasia without realising that there are enemies out there is just as bad a mistake as leaving troops there for years and years.
Either way...Obama, I believe, will win the election because no one wants another Bush in the White House. |

The biggest problem with Obama is that he's unexperienced and has already flipflopped on the issue of Iraq on 4 seperate occasions.
McCain on the other hand is very experienced and doesn't flip flop..........but he's uncharismatic
America will probably vote in Obama, although I wouldn't be surprised if he loses in 2012 |

When Obasma was accused as not being a 'patriot' the US flags suddenly appeared as his backdrop wherever he went.
When Obama was accused of having muslim 'leanings' a visit to the troops in Iraq was announced.
The short of it is; remember Forrest Gump and his box of chocolates ?
I'm for McCain ................. |
