Obama reiterates call for Israel to end settlement construction

U.S. President Barack Obama reiterated his call for Israel and the Palestinians to fulfill their obligations toward achieving peace in a letter sent to the king of Morocco, Channel 10 reported.
According to an official source, Obama wrote recently to Morocco's King Mohammed VI that Israel must cease settlement construction and remove checkpoints in the West Bank.
Obama also urged the Palestinians to strengthen their security forces in order to fight terror more effectively. He also called on them to implement institutional reform in preparation for the creation of a Palestinian state.

More Travesty in the Gaza...Haaretz report
only while there is violence.. the world is interested...
The Hamas government has been in existence for two years and the siege on Gaza continues at full strength and cruelty. Washington is busy with the fate of the Migron settlement, (West Bank) Israel is busy with the Dudu Topaz case,(Israeli personality who hired hit men to kill a couple of rival personalities) and the world has lost interest.
When there are no terror attacks, there are no Arabs: When Gaza isn't shooting, it is abandoned to its fate. That is the message Israel is sending its imprisoned neighbors: Launch Qassams and we'll take an interest in you, don't launch Qassams and we won't take an interest. |

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opened the weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday by saying that not only did his government not get the customary 100-day grace period, he did not receive "a single day of grace."
The prime minister added that one of the most important achievements of the first 100 days of his administration was the infusion of "real meaning" into the two-state solution.
Netanyahu listed the achievements of his administration so far, saying that the first of these was the "establishment of a unity government. We have achieved a wide national consensus on the idea of 'two states for two peoples.'"
lol, as if he has instigated the latest push for the 2 state solution. Hes done nothing but get shoved toward it by Obama and the US admin ffs. |

| Yes JJ and now he creates an obstacle to peace by no honouring Israels signed agreement to a settlement freeze including natural growth made under the Road Map in 2003.....why should the Palestinians talk peace when Israel cannot even get the first part of the Road Map completed. |
