Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
the 2003 War to remove non-conventional weapons that were not known to exist in Iraq, was justified on the threat Saddam allegedly posed.

That's the key word - ALLEGEDLY. Bush, Cheney, Rummy, Rice and Wolfowitz ALLEGED that he posed the threat.

KIWIGEOFREAK.....You make the mistake that many make in thinking Iraq was attacked simply for WMD.The full reason included Saddams non-compliance with sixteen Resolutions. He had defied compliance for twelve years and would not give Weapons Inspectors unhindered access which was a condition of the ceasefire agreement for Desert Storm. This meant Those parties who had signed the Ceasefire agreement had a right to resume hostilities with Iraq because it had violated the ceasefire agreement. Iraq had also fired on Aircraft belonging to America and UK that were patrolling the No Fly zone under UN Authority...this was an act of war by Iraq. Iraq was given several opportunities to comply before the invasion was launched and Saddam refused compliance.

Looks like you nutbar radical terrorist mates are taking over Gaza. You will be very happy the fundamentalists have got hold of Gaza.
Female students in the Gaza Strip will be required to wear head coverings and full-length robes beginning this school year, the Hamas rules of the Gaza Strip announced on Monday.

According to the new regulations, any female student that does not attend class in the proper attire will be sent home.

The ministry also has ruled that male teachers cannot teach in girls' schools and women are not allowed to teach at boys' schools.

A London-based newspaper Al-Quds al-Arabi reported recently that the organization's Gaza government had recently approved a series of laws, a Muslim code of conduct of sorts, meant to guard Muslim religion and morals.

These guidelines join an increasing amount of reports from Gaza residents saying that modesty patrols were forcing women to wear head coverings, especially at Gaza's beaches, and that they were inspecting isolated cars in order to prevent unmarried couples being alone together.

Senior Hamas officials had claimed, in the wake of Hamas' June 2007 Gaza takeover, that the organization did not have any intention to turn the Sharia, Islamic religious law into official state regulations.

Sweden newspaper editor: I'm not a *** , I'm not anti-Semitic
By Haaretz Service
Tags: IDF, Israel News, Sweden

The editor-in-chief of the Swedish newspaper that printed an article alleging that Israeli soldiers killed Palestinians to harvest their organs denied accusations on Monday that he was anti-Semitic.

"I'm not a *** ," Jan Helin, the chief editor at the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet, wrote in a blog entry on Monday. "I'm not an anti-Semite. I'm the editor-in-chief who has allowed the publication of a culture article because it asked a number of relevant questions."

The article set off a media frenzy in Israel, where the article's author has been accused of disseminating "a blood libel" against the Jews.

Dozens of demonstrators gathered on Monday outside the Swedish embassy in Tel Aviv in protest of Stockholm's ongoing refusal to condemn the article, Army Radio reported.

They waved Matzos [pieces of unleavened bread] smeared with red paint, alluding to the common Medieval blood libel. They also set up a mock market stall with a banner "Palestinian organs on sale here."

Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
On Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for the Swedish government to condemn the article.

An official present at the weekly session of the cabinet said Netanyahu told his ministers he did not expect the Swedish government to apologize for the article in the tabloid but he did expect it to take a stand.

"We're not asking the Swedish government for an apology, we're asking for their condemnation," the official - speaking on condition of anonymity in keeping with Cabinet rules - quoted Netanyahu as saying.

The prime minister added that the story was "reminiscent of medieval libels that Jews killed Christian children for their blood," said the official.

Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt has already rejected Israeli calls for an official condemnation.

Some in Jerusalem expressed satisfaction over an entry in the personal blog of Sweden's foreign minister, which led some here to believe the official stance in Stockholm has softened.

Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz strongly criticized the Swedish government on Sunday, saying that its silence in face of the Aftonbladet article charging IDF soldiers with harvesting organs from dead Palestinians is tantamount to a diplomatic crisis.

Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
"Anyone who is unwilling to condemn such a blood libel could be considered unwanted in Israel," Steinitz said.

The finance minister added that the "Swedish government cannot remain indifferent, and the crisis will remain until Sweden responds in a different manner."

"Israel cannot ignore such a manifestation of anti-Semitism," Steinitz said.

ROBAMAN....Worldwide no-one really cares about what Israel thinks or wants anymore because it is such an arrogant, ignorant and criminal entity.....Israel has no support. If it gets in a bind due to its actions it will be left to fall and no-one will weep!

FANTASTIC NEWS ROBAMAN...HAMAS SHOWS NO QUARTER AGAINST AL QUAEDA!

Israeli TV broadcasts footage of Hamas men executing rebels
By Yanir Yagna and Anshel Pfeffer, Haaretz Correspondents, and Haaretz Service
Tags: Israel News, mortar shells

Channel 10 and Channel 2 TV on Monday broadcast video that appeared to show Hamas forces killing Gaza rebels believed to be part of an extremist group during an armed confrontation earlier this month.

The video of the Aug. 15 clash shows what appears to be black-clad Hamas militants firing at rebels pinned in a mosque courtyard and mowing them own during a fierce exchange of fire. In two scenes, Hamas militants appeared to be executing captives by gunfire at close range.

At least 24 people were killed in the daylong standoff in Rafah on the Gaza-Egypt border. Hamas forces surrounded a stronghold of Jund Ansar Allah, an extremist group that claims inspiration from al-Qaida and charges that the militant Islamic Hamas is too liberal.

In the video, bodies are seen falling to the ground during the gunfire. In one scene, a group of Jund Ansar Allah captives stands motionless against a wall a few meters away.

The stations said the blurred, jumpy video was taken by cell phone from across the street. Channel 2 said Hamas rival Fatah distributed the video.

Channel 10 also broadcast a recording of what it said was the Hamas military communication channel, ordering Hamas forces to execute everyone.

Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
The Water Authority has instructed Mekorot, the national water company, to pump only 132 million cubic meters of water from Lake Kinneret this year - about one quarter of the annual average, sources in the agriculture sector said.

This would be the smallest amount pumped from the Kinneret since the National Water Carrier went into service in 1964.

The Water Authority wants to begin the coming winter with the Kinneret no lower than it was last year at that time. The level of the lake is currently about 45 centimeters lower than it was at this time last year, but it is unlikely it will maintain this level; the Water Authority predicts that the level will fall to 214.87 meters below sea level, lower than the "black line" below which the lake's pumps cannot operate properly.

Meanwhile, the Water Authority has informed farmers that they intend to decrease the water ration to farmers by only 5 million cubic meters, reducing the cutback from 100 million cubic meters to 95 million cubic meters. The allocation refers to the amount of high-quality water available to farmers from three basins: the Kinneret, the Yarkon-Taninim aquifer and the coastal aquifer.

When Israel states the need to retain Golan Heights and the West Bank for Security purposes it is a blatant lie. The REAL reason is water. At the time of the partition plan the Zionists pushed for ALL water resources in the area to be included in Israels boundaries. All they got was the Sea of Galilee with notations that Syria and Jordan were to retain their traditional rights to that source and the Jordan River.Yarkon-Taninim aquifer is in the West Bank and the Golan holds main water supplies for Israel currently depriving Syria.

FANTASTIC NEWS ROBAMAN...ISRAEL SCORES OWN GOAL!

Swedish Jews: Israel gave IDF organ harvesting claims center stage
By Assaf Uni, Haaretz Correspondent
Tags: IDF, Aftonbladet, Sweden

BERLIN - Lena Posner, president of the Official Council of Jewish Communities in Sweden, said Sunday that Israel's demand that Sweden officially condemn the article that accused Israel Defense Forces of harvesting Palestinian organs "had blown the issue completely out of proportion.

"No one even noticed the article - which is, incidentally, anti-Semitic and absolutely untruthful - when it was buried in the last pages of Aftonbladet," Posner explained. "But the Israeli response pushed the journalist who wrote it, Daniel Bostrom, to the front of the stage and into the heart of the Swedish mainstream."

"What's even worse is that by making the preposterous demand for a government condemnation, the debate has changed from anti-Semitism to freedom of speech in Sweden: Instead of concentrating on debunking the story, they have made it a freedom of speech issue. The government is not going to condemn the article - freedom of speech here is sacrosanct," added Posner, who said she could see how the Swedish mainstream media, which at first attacked the tabloid for printing the piece, were now supporting it, based on the principle of preserving the freedom of speech.

You can doubt it all you want.

I told Amnesty International awhile ago that I have limitations on what I will participate in interms of their activities. This is one. Anything to do with the environment or defence policy are two more.

Palestinian PM: We'll form de facto state by 2011
By Haaretz Service

The Palestinian Authority intends to establish a de-facto state within the next two years, despite failing peace talks, Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said on Tuesday.

"We have decided to be proactive, to expedite the end of the occupation by working very hard to build positive facts on the ground, consistent with having our state emerge as a fact that cannot be ignored," Fayyad told the Times of London. "This is our agenda, and we want to pursue it doggedly."

According to Fayyad, the idea would be to "end the occupation, despite the occupation."
The de facto state would include security forces, public services and a thriving economy, Fayyad told the Times, and would hopfully serve as the impetus to Israel to move foward on its own commitments.

Fayyad was to unveil his plan for building the institutions and infrastructure of the state of Palestine, which he said could feasibly be readied in the next two years.

Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
Not so much a blueprint as a wish-list, the 65-page plan calls for a new international airport in the Jordan Valley and new rail links to neighboring states, and proposes a generous tax regime for foreign investors.

The Palestinian Authority which Fayyad heads is dependent on foreign assistance for most of its budget. A copy of the plan was obtained by Reuters ahead of publication.

The plan is short on detail, but setting out these objectives is a departure from Palestinian policy over the past 15 years, which focused exclusively on negotiations with Israel rather than building institutions.

Western-backed Fayyad says Palestinians must not wait for a final peace settlement with Israel but get on with creating their state.

"We call upon all our people to work together on the basis of full partnership in the process of completing and building the institutions of a free, democratic and stable state of Palestine," the plan states.

"The world should hear the clear and united position from all walks of Palestinian society ... that the Israeli occupation is the only obstacle that hinders the stability, prosperity and the progress of our people and their right to freedom, independence and a decent life."

Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
On the political level, the plan is in harmony with the position of Abbas, who wants to establish a state on all territories that Israel occupied after the 1967 war, with Arab East Jerusalem as its capital.

The document says the government will focus on improving the performance of Palestinian security services, as part of its commitment to crack down on militants as stipulated in the internationally backed peace plan or "road map".

It speaks of building infrastructure, securing energy sources and water, and improving housing, education, and agriculture. But no detailed prescriptions are included.

"The government will work on encouraging investment in Palestine through offering tax cuts to local and foreign investors (and) will review investment regulations and remove obstacles that hinder investment," says the document.

"Our national duty stipulates that we should do whatever we can to get our economy out of the cycle of dependency and alienation."

Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
Veteran Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat spent an hour Tuesday answering questions posed by Haaretz.com readers. Thank you to the thousands of people who contributed to this live event.

Saeb Erekat has been a fixture in Mideast peacemaking since the Madrid Conference, through the signing of the Oslo Accords on the White House lawn, to the Camp David and Taba negotiations.

He has headed the Palestinian delegations at most negotiations with Israel since 1991, and was viewed as staunch loyalist of Yasser Arafat until the latter's death in 2004. He is now a key adviser to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and accompanied him on his recent trip to Washington to meet with President Barack Obama.

Erekat was born in Jerusalem in 1955. He gained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from San Francisco University, and holds a PhD from Bradford University in Britain.

He also spent more than a decade on the editorial board of Palestinian newspaper Al-Quds, and lectured at An-Najan University in the West Bank city of Nablus.

Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
What is the Palestinian view on large existing settlements in the West Bank (for example Ariel and Ma'ale Adumim)? Israelis aim to let them stay and give some territory in exchange. We never hear the Palestinian position in that. Is this acceptable and in what national consensus? Thanks.
Asked by Ivana Zuntova, from Prague, Czech Republic

Saeb Erekat: Settlements and peace don't go together. To us as Palestinians, when we advocate the two state solution and recognition of Israel, we say Israel exists on 78 percent and Palestinian on 22 percent. To see the Israelis coming to this 22 percent and trying to create facts on the ground and tell you later it's reality. They negotiate with themselves - Netanyahu, Ya'alon, Yishai - and and then they tell me: "Come here boy, we know what's best for you, that's what you should accept." This is dictation, this is not negotiations. You want me to go to the Palestinians and say this is a good agreement? Negotiation is about giving and taking, but those Israelis who want to advocate the settlements, they are making peace with themselves and not with me.

By the way, I am a fact on the ground, I don't intend to disappear. Many people thought I would disappear. Wake up. I am here and here to stay. My generation is extending its arms to you, saying let's be good neighbors. You are eating up the same territory that I am supposed to build my state on.
