Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
With the attacks on the Goldstone report it is just part ofNetanyahu's new propoganda plan to legitimize Israels illegitimacy. Same as the Whitewash investigations they are setting up.

Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
There is a lot of evidence that people can change at his age, not least in politics. Begin, Rabin, Peres and Sharon made central changes in their political worldviews late in their career. It is high time for Netanyahu to realize that his worldview is in need of a total overhaul. He is behaving like the tired driver in the joke who, entering the highway, turns on the radio. Suddenly there is an announcement: "Warning, there is a car driving on the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway in the wrong direction." He looks around and says. "What are they talking about? There are hundreds of cars driving in the wrong direction."

Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
If Netanyahu is so convinced that Israel represents the Western world, how come the whole Free World (a better term than "West" to denote the countries committed to liberal democracy) thinks otherwise? Could it be that not the Free World is headed in the wrong direction, but that Netanyahu is? And could it be that this is why the world doesn't take it well, when he lectures them on the forces of civilization and the powers of darkness?

In his address to the President's conference last week, Netanyahu reiterated his call for Israel to be a light upon the nations. In doing so, he continues the line that we are the chosen people meant to show the rest of the world the light.

There's just one tiny problem: the rest of the world really doesn't think that we have much to teach them when it comes to morality, and they certainly not that we should show them the light. They are asking for something much simpler: that we behave in a manner that befits the standards of international law, and that we finally realize that we are not God's gift to the world, but a part of the human race with the same rights and the same duties as all others; no less, no more.

Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
Because Netanyahu likes big ideas, I have a suggestion as to how he could replace the outdated paradigm of Israel as the West's representative and humanity's exceptional light to the nations: Netanyahu likes to see himself as the embodiment of progress. He might therefore consider the fact that most modern Jews have dumped Jewish Exceptionalism and endorsed Universalism (four out of five Jews voted for Obama). This majority of Jews is now becoming more vocal, as shown in the emergence of J Street, the new pro-Israel and pro-peace lobby (that Netanyahu's ambassador to the U.S., Michael Oren, is choosing to avoid).

There are good reasons for this. In the age of globalization only Universalist worldviews can help all to flourish. Any group's (Jewish, Christian, Muslim) insistence on being special is a recipe for catastrophe.

Endorsing Universalism is not just a matter of words; it needs to be backed up by deeds. Netanyahu's call to Mahmoud Abbas this week to lead the Palestinians towards peace, for good reasons, has not been met by enthusiasm. Does Netanyahu really expect Abbas to answer his hollow call, when all he does is stall Obama and Mitchell by continuing to build in the territories? Why should Palestinians believe that Israel means peace when all they actually see is further expansion of the settlements?

Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
Obama needs to pressure Israel hard and get Netanyahu to comply. If he does not the Peace process is sunk and Americas credibility goes down the drain along with Israels. Arab states have already begun to act. They have boycotted the Middle East meeting of World Foreign Ministers that was scheduled in Turkey forcing its cancellation. They refuse to sit in the same room as Avigdor Lieberman. Egypt led the boycott.

Jordanian unionists set an Israeli flag on fire during a sit-in to mark the anniversary of the peace treaty between Jordan and Israel, in Amman, Jordan, Monday. The unionists called for the abolition of the treaty.

The protesters called for the abolition of the treaty.

Then-prime minister Yitzhak Rabin, Jordan's King Hussein and then-US president Bill Clinton signed the peace treaty on October 26, 1994.

According to Xinhua, Abdullah Obeidat, chairman of the council of Jordan's professional associations, said at the protest that Jordan is "threatened by Israel in spite of the peace treaty."

"Fifteen years have passed since the treaty was signed and it did not bring any good. The treaty was signed against the willingness of the public," the Chinese news agency quoted Jordanian MP Hamzah Mansour as saying.

Jordan has lashed out at Israel over recent clashes between Arab rioters and security forces in Jerusalem's Old City, warning that Israel's continued "provocative behavior" in the city could "derail all opportunities of peace and stability in the region."

Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
"Any new provocative attempts by Israeli troops and Jewish extremists such as what happened today in the shrine's compound represents a flagrant violation of international law and conventions and sets the stage for more tension and acts of violence," Jordanian Minister for Media Affairs and Communication Nabil Sharif was quoted by the UAE-based Khaleej Times as saying in a statement on Sunday evening.

"Jordan, out of its historical responsibilities in being the custodian of the holy places in Jerusalem, is extremely worried about what is taking place and warns against going ahead with this provocative behavior on the part of Israeli troops," he reportedly added.

According to the report, Sharif urged "an immediate end to such dangerous practices which threaten to derail all opportunities of peace and stability in the region".

Nine police officers were lightly injured and 21 rioters arrested, during clashes that broke out between Arabs and police on the Temple Mount, in the alleyways of the Old City's Muslim Quarter and east Jerusalem in a fresh round of violence that threatened to keep already-heightened tensions in the capital simmering.

Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
I selected things to do with the peace process. It is a documented fact that Jews want the Temple Mount ...only to spark violence to give Israel an excuse to opt out of the Peace process. Jews have been told by their own learned head Rabbi that Temple Mount is not a place Jews are permitted. Doesn't stop those wanting to foment violence. Jordan rightly had protests. The citizens do not agree with what Israel is doing...neither does the King of Jordan either.....if the Peace treaty fails it will be Israels problem. Israel wants everyone to accommodate it. Once they may have done. Today Israel commands no respect.

EU lawyers: We've got names of IDF officers suspected of war crimes
By Anshel Pfeffer, Haaretz Correspondent
Tags: Gaza War

Human rights lawyers and pro-Palestinian activists in a number of European countries hold lists with names of Israel Defense Forces soldiers allegedly linked to war crimes committed during Operation Cast Lead in the Gaza Strip. Existing legislation enables arrest warrants to be issued against these officers if they enter those countries.

Lawyers in Britain and other European countries have been collecting testimonies of Palestinians and other data from Gaza since January, which they maintain proves that war crimes were committed by the IDF during the offensive. The evidence is linked to IDF officers holding ranks of battalion commander and higher, who were in command during various stages of Cast Lead.

The other nations who have lawyers collecting information on the matter include the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium and Norway, whose laws, as well as Britain's, allow the issuance of arrest warrants against foreign citizens suspected of war crimes.

Attorney Daniel Makover from London is coordinating the efforts in Britain. One of his colleagues visited the Gaza Strip several weeks after the fighting in order to collect testimonies. Palestinians civilians also gave the legal assistant their approval, and asked that he file the suits in their name, in line with British law.

Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
Speaking to Haaretz, Makover refused to offer details on the identity of the IDF officers or how many were listed, but said that much depends on the specific details of each case. Makover said that anyone who was involved in an incident may face criminal charges. The attorney added that there are officers who are obviously candidates for charges, and others who are less obvious, but emphasized that it depends on the facts collected on the ground.

Makover said that the Goldstone report on the fighting in the Gaza Strip will bolster the efforts of the activists, and said that some of the instances mentioned in the report were already known to the attorneys. Makover is part of an unofficial network of attorneys operating in various countries in Europe, exchanging and sharing information so that suspected officers may be arrested in those countries.

The information is often received from pro-Palestinian activists who follow Jewish or pro-Israel groups that invite IDF officers to deliver lectures. In some instances, this information is relayed to border controls. Makover said that a small number of names of IDF officers is already on a British police watch list, and that when they arrive in Britain the authorities will issue an arrest warrant that will lead to their possible detention.

Re:Hamas.....Two State Solution continue ...
Jews Blow Up Other Jews in Jerusalem Bloodbath
Stern Gang up to its Old Tricks Again

Disgusted intelligence sources in Palestine claim that the latest bombing atrocity that killed 10 and wounded 57 was an “inside job”, i.e. Jews killing Jews for media advantage. In all probability the March 2, 2002 attack was carried out by the revitalized Stern Gang, responsible for bombing Pacha’s Disco in Tel Aviv during June 2001, and the Jerusalem Ben Yehudah Mall in early December 2001.
The intelligence sources point to damage at the crime scene in the Beit Israel district of Jerusalem as proof of their claims that the weapon used was a car bomb rather than a suicide bomber. Photographs shown on this web site prove the claims correct. These photos were taken before the mainstream western media received their “sanitized” versions, in which there is no car and very little shrapnel visible.
From the outline of the car we can tell that there was an internal explosion, with the blast shock waves radiating outwards, before being deflected upwards to atmosphere by a nearby wall. Before the truth was re-written by the Jerusalem Mayor, local reports carried a reasonably accurate account: “Burial society volunteers picked up body parts amid debris slick with motor oil and blood. A truck ferried off the charred husk of a car…” and: “Fierce flames from the destroyed car rose into the night sky on the street where the blast ripped through the Beit Israel district of the city just as worshippers were emerging from synagogues…”
