Palestinian sources said Saturday that the IDF used tank fire and machine gun fire to target rural areas in the southern Gaza Strip, east of Khan Yunis, Israel Radio reported.
No wounded were reported and the military had yet to confirm the maneuver. |

What exactly have they won? They have been persecuting the Palestinians for more than 60 years and still can beat them with their high grade weapons against home made rockets.
Their propaganda?, thanks to the internet there are other sources of information, including those on the ground, the opinions of these people have refuted their lies.
Peace? No they dont want peace with palestinians, their actions through the past 60 years have proven this.
So what exactly are they winning. How would they survive without the support of the US?

If history is a guide, Hamas wont stop fighting until they have a recognised voice on the international stage. They have indicated this by their actions, they want independence from Israel, at least - some say the complete eradication of Israel.
Eradication of Israel wont happen, at least not with the US, being Israel's major supporter.
Some changes within the Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah are needed.
This appears to be happening now, with their unity agreement published by PHR Israel, 30 Apr 2009, they have established a committee, whose members are accepted by both sides, whose role will be to refer patients from Gaza for treatment abroad.
The committee will be under the external Palestinian supervision.

Two soldiers on leave from the settlement of Bat Ayin, south of Jerusalem, were arrested by police on Saturday evening after using their military-issued guns to open fire on the neighboring Palestinian village of Hirbet Tzapa.

Following the shootings, a riot erupted in the village, prompting the entrance of security forces. A violent clash between rioting villagers and security forces ensued, as the IDF and Border Police sought to subdue the riot "using riot-dispersal means," the IDF Spokesman said.
The riot dispersal means did not include the use of live fire, the IDF Spokesman told The Jerusalem Post.
Two Palestinians from the village sustained light to moderate wounds, though it was not immediately clear whether these were caused by the shootings or the subsequent clashes with security forces, the IDF Spokesman added.
"Anyone involved in violent provocations will be immediately dealt with," the IDF said following the incident. "The IDF will not tolerate riots or illegal use of firearms," it added. |

| Hamas would have to do far more attacks than they have to catch up to the death toll Irgun,Sterngang and Hagganah inflicted on the Arabs and British. Israeli terrorists were first to blow up buses full of civilians.So....it just goes to show how all those putting Hamas down have been duped by Israeli propoganda. |
