| Peace and justice on earth cannot be bombed into existence be it in Israel,Palestine,Afghanis tan,Iraq,Zimbabwe,Sudan etc. It can only come about through the raising of human consciousness and the collective forces of all the true divine believers be they from Islam ,Christianity,Buddhism,Ba ha'i faith,Judaism etc etc etc and the true lovers of real powerful justice that does not waiver when it comes up against an individual or country that is a friend or economic partner. When the world unites against these transgressors of justice,these parties will have no choice but to abide by the decision and power of the unified world or crumble. |

'peace and justice' ... Excellent, 'peace' I most certainly agree with, but 'justice' ...
That's far too subjective a statement to make, justice for whom? Is justice for Hamas - just as an example - the same as justice for Israel? Simple answer, No.
Nice thought though aint it ... 'peace and justice on earth' - Probably not while there are still humans here ...

Get rid of the UN for starters ... Why do you say that? There may be much that is wrong with the UN, but as a body to try to begin to unify mankind, isn't that the best place to start ...

| Absolutely no point in relying on anything political or religious. These have consistently failed humanity. In fact, I see little hope for humanity in the face of extreme Islamic and Christian intolerance and hatred.The UN does not have much of a record but at least given half a chance we might start onthe road to unity. The other prospect is the way the EU is steadily growing. Within a hundred years it may include all of the ex-Soviet bloc nations and the Russian Federation itself. The prospect of a better life style is a serious one. |

I always understood the basis for 'humanism' was respect and understanding of all people....the belief in the dignity of all people.....
You can correct me of course but I am at a loss where this was practiced by mao, stalin or hitler....I'll be fascinated to be proven wrong here mate... |

This strikes a chord with me, I don't think that one has to believe in a divine being to want peace and justice. Sure it may help some, but it's not for everyone. Is not caring for your fellow man enough? |

yes xtra , and its surprising who said it , but not surprising that he took it well out of context assuming that the vipers and adders were Jewish people , when in actual fact the only vipers and adders that Jesus referred to were people that were unbelieving and disobedient to god .
thanks for goading my curiosity as i never knew it was said or who said it . now i have increased in knowledge . |

i think a more correct assumption to make would be that he was a beleiver in his own divinity lol . he did after all suffer from delusions of grandeur - however "christian - he was NOT .
actions speak louder then words and his words screamed "im a liar " |

Well said.
I was just showing that one shouldn't believe in another person's genuineness just because he says something that you agree with.
The guy we are refering to was probably the worlds greatest liar and probably the most evil of all time. |
