Another miss-interpretation by the west in its efforts to demonise Ahmadinejad and Iran
"Mr. Ahmadinejad did not say what the US Subcommittee on Intelligence Policy reported that he said: "They have invented a myth that Jews were massacred and place this above God, religions and the prophets." He actually said, "In the name of the Holocaust they have created a myth and regard it to be worthier than God, religion and the prophets." This language targets the myth of the Holocaust, not the Holocaust itself - i.e., "myth" as "mystique", or what has been done with the Holocaust. Other writers, including important Jewish theologians, have criticized the "cult" or "ghost" of the Holocaust without denying that it happened. In any case, Mr. Ahmadinejad's main message has been that, if the Holocaust happened as Europe says it did, then Europe, and not the Muslim world, is responsible for it."

No doubt the Iranian people's protests at the rigged elections were misquoted too by the west. No doubt photoshopped imagery.

Here is what was interesting.
Only yesterday the Iranians staged their standard government arranged and scripted anti Israel day march.
Ahmad's speech included statements such as the holocaust claims are unacceptable and incredible claims and Israel will not last long...
But more interesting the thousands of Iranian people who hit the streets demanding democracy and interrupting the governments orchestrated march.
Oh, I forgot, that was probably foreign media misquoting him and faking the imagery of the people.
I'd best wait for the jj newsletter for the real 'truth'. |

In today's world, with such a high degree of communication between its various parts, upholding an Islamic superstructure in such a vast region is impossible. It is not possible to stop the emergence of secularism in the Middle East. In my opinion, secularism is not only realisable, but also after the experiences of Iran, Afghanistan and Algeria, a need and demand of the people of the region. The problem is still fundamentally the Palestinian question. Just as this confrontation strengthens the reactionary religious factions in Israel itself and gives them much more power- disproportionate to their actual minor weight in people's culture and beliefs, it also adds to the lifespan of political Islam and Islamic identity in the opposing camp. The sooner an independent Palestinian state is formed, the quicker Islam and Islamism will be eradicated in the region.

| Up until the elections, western analyists had been saying the only place Ahmadinejad might loose was in Tehran and that all polls said he would win the election. When the results showed he did win, the west called it a fraud. Im my opinion the protests were more a backlash against Islamic rule by a large proportion of the population who want secularism. |

No one can deny that the Holocaust happened, it is very well documented, so we are left with the distinct feeling that this guy is ready to have a go at the Israeli's (and everyone else) at various intervals. Bollocks.
I asked the local Iranian community here in Christchurch at a vigil for Neda Soltan, the young lady who was gunned down in the streets and whose death was flashed around the world. Representatives said it was heavily rigged, and that boxes had been stuffed, amongst other things. |

I like Ahmadinejad... He is politcally motivated and subjects people to stop and think things through. If he is incorrect you will have a go at him and if correct then you definitely 'inquired' deeply into his 'Fu...cked up comments'.
Ahmadinejad's land folks (Iran) holds one of the rarest,ancient and beautiful synagogue in the world. He like his people pride on historical marvel and jews of Iran.
Palestine has been subjected to a lot of in human things in the past and is still is. It is in the Arab vision to heal and protect this state.
Media has brainwashed your biased minds on the issues that really is affecting the Middle Eastern countries. The mindless acts on the Palestine, Iraq and... Children, woman maimed by the senseless acts of others. We have not learnt from the acts of wars in history. This is the 21 st century and we are still at war.
