This is a highly questionable site at best.
1) If it is CIVILIAN in nature, then why is it built in a mountain?
2) if it is CIVILIAN in nature, they why does it have missile battery on the top of the mountain that it is built in?
3) Will the Iranian regime have the balls - and common sense to tell the IAEA the truth in December?
----
Russia, which has been helping Iran with it's "CIVILIAN" nuclear programme for "PEACEFUL" purposes, is not happy and says that the door is not closed on new sanctions.
China, which has opposed sanctions is said also to be disappointed. As yet no attempt to gauge their mood on sanctions has been made. |

kiwi only an idiot and Obama would believe they are after anything but nuclear weapons.
The iranians have said the inspectors can visit and they will set a timetable - reminds me of the bs around the saddam times.
Personally I think the Israelis will simply fly in, bomb it to oblivion and problem solved.
Obama talks diplomacy.
Impossible against a regime that takes zero notice of world opinion.
Partly I can agree - there are quite a few nuclear nations so who says someone else cannot equally be so armed?
But, given their extremist views they are the last place anyone would want to be nuclear armed.
As I said, Israel will end the debate. |

| What I am interested in is...where will Iran test its nukes? Over Tel Aviv? Rather suicidal bit of experimenting, actually. As soon as they get a weapon, these guys will be like kids with fireworks and will be itching to let one off. The only thing is, it will simply give the Israeli's permission to bomb their nuclear faicilities into rubble. Thank God. |

What must be most chilling is what if they did? If iran fired one on Tel Aviv?
Then what?
USA blow them away?
Pray Israel ends the debate. |

How bloody feeble.....
I think that they can't be too far off having enough weapons grade uranium for a few bombs. But its a guess at best if they can design the detonation sequence. And they will have to test it, otherwise it could simply go off like a damp squib and make a mess. If they test it and it works...in berty's words....KA-BOOM!! By-by Iran. If its a damp squib, the West will roll around on the floor laughing and THEN KA-BOOM. |

xav jj is just upset anything happens to anyone who have an agenda against the USA.
He is one of those unfulfilled, bitter and envious lefties with nothing who despise anyone with freedom and a smattering of success.
I have no doubt if the americans don't act, israel will.
Either way that nuclear plant will either be rubble or decommissioned pre xmas. |

| Well, I cannot say that I am a lover of America's policies with regard the rest of the world...they are not the World Police and they have an unenviable record in that respect. But, having said that, after having made extended visits to the good old US of A, I have come to regard the place with considerable affection. New York is my favourite city... |

xav - I doubt he has been 50km outside his small mind.
And unfortunately the USA is the world police. I know it will come as a surprise to our resident marxist jj, but most people realise the USA has done some questionable things, acted in self interest and other actions.
Equally unfortunately, no other nation is as placed to be that world police.
I for one am pleased they are. |

ace - wouldnt worry to much about jj's mind if I was you - you seriously think an attack by Israel (or any other power for that matter) on Iran will solve the problem? The Islamic nations will roll over and sue for peace?
Am still LMAO over this classic as well....
"most people realise the USA has done some questionable things, acted in self interest and other actions"
I take it you dont accept as fact the USA, like all Nations, ALWAYS acts in self interest..... |

I think the US has given up the idea of being the Worlds Policeman. After all, their record isn't exactly helpful:
Two years late in WWI
Two years late WWII
Fought to a standstill in Korea
Kicked out of Viet Nam
Losing it in Iraq
Losing it is Afghanistan.
I think they have a sort of a Holywood style ambition to be the "good guys" but the real leaders in the US are NOT good guys. Their TV and movies continue to influence the public enormously (villains in international crime are always cultured well spoken Englishmen, fer crissake!). The only reality comes home with the veterans, who tell it how it is and are villified for their efforts.
Beyond all that is the essential goodness of the American people. Some of them suspect they are not loved beyond their borders. Some hope they are. The USA is so big that they can be as inward looking as they like, until a 9/11 happens in their midst. |

I think you will find that the West, on recieving yet another dose of extreme terror from the world of Islam, will happily bomb them back into the Stone Age. |

How do you get 'I take it you dont accept...'
when my post actually said ".."most people realise the USA has done some questionable things, acted in self interest and other actions".."
Extraordinary comment mate.
And as for problem solved if you wish to extrapolate the solving of the iranian nuclear power plant as a 'solution' for that area tensions then who am I to stop you - the conclusion is in your head not what was said by me or anyone else here. |

I think obama will try to end the usa role as world policeman.
His apology tour globally was an obvious starting pint.
I'll be interested to see how his 'Jimmy Carter' diplomacy approach works and what he does when all he gets is the fingers. |

I think Obama is essentially a good man. He has vision that is not clouded with silly dreams and he is practical enough when he thinks of the US in relation with the rest of the world. He will find out that he has frieds, but they will not be treated as minions any more. Europe is very strong, and he knows it. The days are gone when the US could say "jump!" |
