Once upon a time the Republican Party arrogated the name Grand Old Party (GOP). Looking at their more recent conduct I am at loss to understand how they could possibly call themselves this. The Republican Party of now is a group of bitter conservatives, evangelists and Republicans who think that America is going to Hell in a handcart because the larger portion of the voters on 4 November 2008 decided it was time to do something truly historic.
To them Obama is Obomba, Obama bin Laden, and so it goes on. He's a traitor, a pariah, a gun hating unpatriotic son of a chimp - or so the most hatemongering Republican wants you to believe.
Republicans told me before the election that climate change of any sort is a socialist conspiracy to destroy the "Free Market". They told me that anyone committing America to any aspect of this assault would apparently be committing a Unconstitutional act.
On the subject of Muslims I was in a group of neoconservatives until about July, and during my stay I saw racism that makes some of the twaddle on these boards look like child's play. These were grown adults thinking that the Caliphate was coming and that when it did the Christian world would be destroyed. They were telling me that Muslim women in predominantly Muslim countries all across the world were growing sons for jihad.
I was revolted. Absolutely revolted. |

Hey geo, some of the neocons certainly are disgustingly racist. Remember the divide and conquer method when talking about party politics. The hatred displayed between the red and blue is truly shocking sometimes.
Congressman and longtime Republican Ron Paul is still a shining example of what a politician should be. Dennis Kucinich is Ron's counterpart for the Democrats.
United they must stand or divided they (we?) will fall. |

There are a good many republicans who support some measure of action to thwart mans cations on climate - the debate is to what degree - I've yet to speak to any that raise the notion of it being unconstitutional....
...ironaically since obama's 100 days there has been an increase in 'blue dog' democrats and polls have clearly shown the obama honeymoon is well and truly over...
...latest polls suggest the Dems will lose many many seats in the 2010 congressional elections and some predict obama will be a one term wonder...
...his notion of change has been seen as a little to sopcialist and his key staff a little too marxist for even some libertarians and centrist demos....

I have read a shipload of material from a variety of sources PALLADACE.
I refer to Alex Jones' documentaries because I know most have not the time/ability to objectively research the appropriate information. A documentary offering an overview of the relevant material is a great way to reach those who are limited by time or ability.
So why don't you give it a try??? Or are you still to proud? |

I just remember the last govt. to get in on a sole campaign of "It's time for a change". You remember helen Clark don't you. Look what her policies brought to NZ. How about Tony Blair "also a call for change." Look at the mess Britain is in now. Barak has called for "a change we can believe in" and look at what he is doing. The same things the other 2 clowns did.
On the another topic (racism), did anyone notice that the ONLY one talking about race was the Obama camp during the election. I never heard any of the others mention race. The way they would do it is wait till not much was happening and then say "this is not a campaign about race"' I kept thinking when they said that. Who mentioned race? Oh , nobody, until Obama mentioned it. So it was Obama and his camp that kept raising the race issue. No one else. |

bronk - obama is a socialist - born from the Chicago style of politics he is bringing to washingfton - the community organising style of multiple groups, led by arch marxists...but with tenuous links back to the White House...

I invite you, Ace, yes you, to go take a look at some of the groups in my previous list. If you are prepared to wait a bit and see if applications to join are successful, you can troll through the groups archives and look at some of what went on.
In particular, why don't you take a look at the periods between when Obama was nominated to lead the Democrats and the election - have a looksie in the archival search engines of the individual groups for stuff posted by kiwi_geofreak.
Then get back to me about whether I know or not as to what I am talking about here. |

Palladace, your buddy Bill only has the most successful show because it is on Fox and most of America is still under the mainstream media's hypnotic trance. Many media personalities claim to be libertarian but that does not mean that they are. I would call him an obnoxious, arrogant centrist/statist, if anything.
Haven't heard of Mr Barkun. Of course there will be those who say conspiracies are trendy or whatever. Some conspiracies are BS, some are real. That should be obvious.
