Black Caps won the first 20/20 match at AMI stadium in style. Top order batsmen played their part well, the likes of Tayler,McCullum & Guptul. Nice to have Oram back.
Hopefully we can rap up the 20/20s in Wellington. |

| why everyone forgotten about C. Martin for the tests.... hes probably our best test bowler. so what if he can't bat.. hes a number 11 for gods sake. plus oram cant play tests.. he wont be if we lose any matches anyway as hes a fair weather player. plus he cant play for any longer than a few overs before he "gets injured" |

| This tour could go either way, if india play as a team they will win, but the BC's always have the capacity to do well at home. I'm not sitting on the fence but think it will be a shared series in tests, BC's to win one dayers by a nose. 20/20 is always the toss of a coin could go either way. |

I am a Indian supporter, but to be honest the question should be can India beat the Black Caps - as I thinks it is 70:30 in favour of Black caps, Indians always carry a hype every where they go, this is no different. But this time around the only difference is they are playing as one gelled unit after a long time.... that is some thing which gives the confidence for Indians to beat Black caps.

the fact we can compete on the world stage is something.
how badly would we kick there asses if we had thier
player numbers
money
support.. both public and the government.
player development
and most importantly thier weather. i mean anyone that has played cricket in this country will know some years you only get half a season. |

How does everyone rate Ausies chances in South Africa. I believe the Aussies will be beaten quite aesily.

| I don't think you can have Jesse that high up in a test. Flynn a better option, but still have Jesse in team at 5 where we can use his bowling. A bit like they used to do with Astle. Open in ODIs, but down the order in tests. And look how well he did! |

| All good points made. South Africans gave us some great cricket. And our own boys of corse, this time last year we just didnt seem to have buger all options, and know look at the number of new players that have been given their chance and have stood up and taken it with both hands. Exciting times ahead for new zealand cricket. |

| I just think given flynns performances against the windies in the test series he won't be overlooked and nor should he. It'd be a classic case of dropping a proven test performer for another, and flynn was in great form. Couldn't agree more that if the cricket is of a high standard ya gotta appreciate it. At the end of the day, the aussie series will, i think, prove to be a solid foundation for this young side. A series they can reflect on having proven themselves capable. Good to see Dan Vetorri take a hard stand on last nights performance too! |
