The destiny here is for a draw.
The track is a good one.
India are one up so will never play aggressively to attempt to force a result, especially with a stand-in skipper being led from the grandstand.
Regardless, Taylor make a statement and may well have arrived. Ryder showed he is a genuine threat.
Hopefully Martin now can stand up like he did against SA a few years ago. I have confidence in that boy, he is a class act. |

| It is quite funny how people whom count the underdogs as down and out turn out to be hypocrites once the underdogs are in a controlling position. Heh I was right Black Caps will hopefully win this test, just need to bowl as good as they batted. ^_^ |

| Boy its good to be wrong this time,Ryder and Taylor damn fine batting,it is good to hear Taylor chastise himself for going out with that slog sweep bad shot when the fieldsmen were stationed there for just such a particular shot,to do so after 150 plus is damn good to see him show dissapointment.Ryder is growing day by day as a very good batsman. |

Some time back I stated Taylor needed to step up and prove his worth as the Number 4.

| Currently the score is 170/3 finally taylor is stepping up to the plate, about time, jesse seems to be solid as an earlier comment said good thing they shifted him up the batting order, he seems better up there. |

| in responce to palladin. taylor is amazingly lucky to still be there. he should have been out probably 3-4 times already. i think now thats hes settled hopefully he can play for a long time but that first half hour was streaky.. at best. Ryder looking solid as usual |

Anything close to 300 even 6 down will be quite a recovery.
NOW is the time Taylor shows he is our best batsman and worthy of the key No4 spot.
McCullum too needs to stand up as vice captain and deliver some first innings runs.
Anything less than 380 will make this a 4 day non event. |

I have a feeling not all is well in camp - one wonders what Moles is doing mentally preparing this squad.
The guys have the ability.
Guptill, Howe, McIntosh are the best we have at 1,2 &3. Something is amiss. |
