| Good on you Palladin for eating humble pie, I think we have one of the strongest batting lineups that i have seen for the last 15 years, just need to get them all on form at once and we will be a very formidable team to beat. Unfortuntely it cant be said the same for our bowling lineup. Although not completely useless i dont think it is a real threat to a good batting side like india. My money is a draw on this game. |

| Another unfortunate scenario, as the new ball is still in play: we lose a few wickets quickly and give advantage back to India. Lets hope Ryder and McCullum don't get overconfident and throw it all away. Anything less than 550 and we could still end up losing this match. |

500+ is a mandatory after the start.
McCullum should thrive on this track and is due. I honestly think Franklin could pull a large one here too, he certainly has the ability all he needs is the self belief.
Laxman is due a score. Tendulkar will always be a threat on a flat track. Sewag is actually due a failure.
We should bat all day - grind these guys into submission and post 580. |

| Yeah - all fair points. We definately need to push on and get at least another 200-250. I'm dreading the thought of Sehwag and Tendulkar batting on this pitch over the next few days! |

| Yeah good point matty, i suppose if he had nicked out or lbw to a good peice of bowling it would be more acceptable. But he is an aggresive batsmen. Still 151 is pretty good. |

| Is anyone slightly annoyed at Taylor's dismissal? I know the guy hit 151 but he could have gone on and hit 200-250....am I being picky? I think it was more the method of his dismissal ie slog to cow corner again..... |

I'm man enough to say I was wrong.
I knew Ryder has ability, but I didn't think he had the maturity and skill to adapt his game from power to touch, as needed.
He can.
