| I'm sorry Ambrose, I disagree with you. He is a great cricketer thats for sure, but you surely have to question his decision of asking India to bat first on a batters track..only if it's a green top should you put the opposition in. It clearly wasn't. |

| Vettori is a good captain, nothing wrong with him just that black caps arent consistent, although I think Fleming was a better captain, just my opinion. |

The problem is though if Vettori isn't the captain then who would be? If McCullum captains then that might ruin his all-round game too! Ross Taylor would be the next choice after that but I think he needs a couple more years churning out runs first.
Re: the lineup, I would have Taylor at 4 always in front of Ryder... Bond and Southee in front of O'Brien... I would seriously question Franklin position in the team too... I'd have Patel there instead of Franklin even means with us having a longer tail. |

| I will try to be constructive here. After winning the toss yesterday most captains would put themselves in to bat. I'm no expert but I would have thought you would only put the opposition in if the wicket was a mine field (which WLG wasn't). We let India off the hook with poor field placements at crucial times. I think NZ needs a change of captaincy, and Vettori can concentrate on his all round skills...What do you think? Cheers |
