you are dead right mate,
no one is better then shane bond in nz cricket as of right now, he is australias nemesis, the only bowler able to strike fear into the aussie batsmen, I wish he could make his comeback at the T20 world champs as well!! |

| Bond is 33 now..but shame on pallidan for disrespecting the greatest kiwi bowler since hadlee!!! Who, in the current team, would you say is better?? All our bowlers get injured at some stage. But if fit, Bond is the best-goddmammit! I look foward to seeing him back in the sri lanka series..I wish he could make his comeback at the 20/20 chapionship |

| Ooops, I meant to add, he was bowling in the same match as Ian O'Brien and certainly was getting it through at a higher clip than O'Brien wh looked to be bending his back as it was just before the Indian home series. |

I agree, if Bond can play, wants to play, let him play.
In agreement to an earlier post, I'm really excited about ex-Saffa Neil Wagner from Otago. Left arm quick, probably bowls around the 140's and is still young so another couple of domestic seasons to learn his craft. He'll be 24/25 when eligable for Black Caps and could be a really good operator. Saw him in a few domestic ODIs last season and he looked great! |

I believe New Zealand cricket should be doing all they can to get Bond back in Black |

Oh ykato4ever Get a life. He played for a number of years on a salary of approx 120K and confirms himself as the worlds most effective strike bowler under this wage and then joins the ICL for 1 million + and you say that he is only fit if tyhe cheque books out.
Man you are so pathetic that words cant describe to put to this comment. |

| I agree with you hoppinhoe, I am not sure wether he needs to play the tests tho. His body is getting tired even tho he still has plenty of pace i think he should be restricted to one day format and 20/20. |

| Not too sure how much gas is left in the bond express, ntm injuries and ware and tear but that's fantastic news for nz cricket fans who have been calling for bond to be included in the BC's, hopefully he's included in some form and can add that extra dimension to our mediocre medium pacers bowling attack, Bond, Tuffey, Patel, Vettori, that's some serious bowling options |

Shane Bond could be playing in the next Black Caps test after the Indian and Pakistan cricket boards announced today that they'll offer amnesty to all players that cut their ties with the rebel Indian Cricket League.
The Indian (BCCI) and Pakistan (PCB) cricket boards have announced that all players who cut ties with the unofficial league by May 31 can return to international cricket after a one year cooling period.
However New Zealand Cricket chief executive Justin Vaughan has told Cricinfo that the NZC would go once step further and waive the cooling period - meaning the likes of Bond and Daryl Tuffey could play in the Black Caps tour of Sri Lanka in August.
"This is a positive move," Vaughan told Cricinfo.
"Hopefully this will lead to the ICL issue being resolved pretty quickly. If there is a mass exodus of players from the ICL, then hopefully we will all be back to being able to field our best teams, and international cricket will return to normality."
Vaughan told Cricinfo that at an ICC board meeting this month, national bodies were given the freedom to determine what sanctions they wanted to put on their own players, so if they wanted the NZC could let Bond straight back into international cricket, skipping the one-year sanction.
New Zealand Cricket has a board meeting in June and would decide then on whether or not players could return straight away. The Black Caps tour Sri Lanka in August playing three tests and five ODIS.
"We've made no secret of the fact that we would welcome players back if they were to leave the ICL," Vaughan said.
"The question is exactly when they would be available for selection, and that is something the (NZC) board will make a decision on. We're slightly different to India in that Bond and Tuffey have already played domestic cricket with us, and if those players did decide to terminate their ICL contracts, it would be up to our board to decide when they would be available. We will watch with interest what ot ... |

| Palladin I think you are being a little hard on Bond, If you look at just about all the quicks in todays game they all have injury issues. Its the amount of cricket they play these days. I would have bond in the onedayers and 20/20 everychance i could get. We simply dont have a big pool of good bowlers to pick from. |
