| when last jave Vettori also taken a bag of wickets in tests,sure he is economical in one day games but he is our main spin bowler and its been a long time between test wickets.When he played under Fleming`s captaincy he was far more succesfull as a bowler. |

Yes a big question-mark hangs over Vittoris captaincy.
It's not the first time Vittori has made bizarre decisions.
Lets review Vittori in say 12 months or so, and we will see if he can redeem him self.
It would also seem that there is some type of ignorant peaking order that continually goes against common sense, ie not including Jeetan Patel in almost every match. I would also have Grant Elliott in my team rather than James Franklin. Why don't we see Patel & Elliott??? |

absolutely right hayley and that proves the point vetorri has zero strategic ability as captain.
As for Bond - good grief we may as well call Crowe. Bond is not our solution and especially at his age which is over 30 - he will trundle a few down at 145k then consistently trundle 135k so he will be no quicker than Martin or Obrien - and as soon as he has a sore wee toe he will pull the plug. Bond is spineless and would never make any team of mine. |

Instead of knocking the NZ team face facts - we were never going to be that competitive against India - anyone with half a cricket brain knew we'd struggle to take 20 wickets on decks made easier due the Indian demands (last time they were here we rolled them on green tops - part of the deal for their return was placid tracks).
Look at their top seven - good grief - on paper the best in world cricket.
Look at our bowling options - Martin, Obrien and then a youngster Southee. I have left out Mills who shouldnt even be in a provincial team.
Then our batsmen - Ryder had a bit of a dream run and Taylor never really fired.
Lastly, show me ONE example where Vetorri has bowled through a talented batting lineup? Just one. His top figures are all against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. |

| its funny how probably our fastest bowler at the moment (O'Brian) is always bowling into the wind.. as he said he found something people dont like to do and he got good at it. but when he bowls with the wind he gets the ball up in the mid 140's bowling up to 147 at times. this is alot faster than bond who now is only bowling around 135-140. he also isnt as potent as he used to be. but with his ipl contract running out will be interesting to see what happens |

by the way...bring back Chatfield, Hadlee, Morrison, and anyone that can bowl (or bat) for that matter.
NZ soon to be the worst test playing nation next to Zimbabwe..and thats so sad. |
