| i think we need fulton in the team he will find his form again and bat like he did against the aussies in the chapple hadlee series in nz 2007.as for ross taylor hes not consistent enough with his runs and plays across the line far too much which is getting him in trouble at the crease |

Taylor's gotta stay at 3. He WILL come right! I don't mind McCullum and Ryder at the top, but McCullum should take first strike. Lose "Two metre Peter" (he's too 'friggin big to run between the wickets like a scalded cat), but keep How.
Oh yes, and lose Bracewell and Hadlee........ |

| Perhaps there is honestly nobody better in NZ cricket at the moment. Who else would you play over him. He has hit hundreds batting at number 3, but then been stuffed around by Bracewell batting 3,4,5,6 so that cannot be good. I still think we should open with How and Ryder and drop McCullum back to 7. |

| He's no worse that 85% of the rest of the team. The whole lot of them need a baseball pitcher throwing balls at them instead of practising with slo mo ball machines and tennis balls. The batters just haven't got a clue where the ball is coming from. This is fairy stuff. |

Not sure about Styris - don't think his heart's in it somehow.....
What's happened to Franklin - is he injured?
Drop Styris, move Taylor up a spot and let Franklin bat after McCullum. |

What should the team be then? I'll have a go and you can all pick it to bits.
Bell, How, Fulton, Fleming, Styris, Taylor, Oram, McCullum, Vettori, Mills, Adams, Martin.
Its a 12 man squad and Mills and Adams would fight it out to open with Martin. The batting is strong and we have 3 seamers, Styris and Vettori. Didn't pick Cumming or Sinclair as I know England will sort them out. Both players have serious flaws in their techniques that good players will expose. The only problem is Bracewell hates Adams and won't work with him. |

| Taylor is a good cricketer. He just needs the selectors to clean the stuff from their vision and get him back on the field soon. He needs support from dem selectors as he could do with some trust and support from da bosses. Whats wrong with the selectors anyway? Do they know how to select? |

| I disagree, I think Taylor is a bloody good talent who shows agression and willing to score, unlike many others who somehow keep their spots, Fulton? Cumming? I think Sinclair has the same agression and class although I know first hand that he is not liked by anyone in the NZ squad ( a chance meeting with a rather drunk NZ bowler recently who slurred the details) |

Drop Cumming and Sinclair, open move Flem up to open the batting with Bell then put Styris at 4, and Taylor 6. Sheesh I would even drop one of the opening bowlers for Andre Adams, then the batting would go all they way down the order.

| No what you need to do is to use your grey matter hayden for a change! While I loved Chris Harris in his day and his gutsy and no nonsense approach to his game, he's in his twilight years! If we keep on living in the past, then we may as well play marbles as that might allow for the use of advice like yours! Being white is alright (some of the time) but it also has its problems...and there are many I can think of. Some of my ancestors were white too, but they suffered from a whole baggage of human frailties and psychological problems. |

| Obviously Hayden wants people to bite as nobody is that stupid. In relation to Taylor he is a victim of all too familiar incompetence by selectors. Debut him against South Africa in SA and when he doesn't come off, like everyone else, dump him before an easy series that would give him confidence. Remember Ken Rutherford in the West Indies. Dump Cummings by all means,if you get worked out by the Bangi's (planting your front foot)you have no future in international cricket. England will sort Sinclair out as well. Talofa |

Of course I'm white. I'm from the South Island.
What we need to do is bring back Chris Harris. Of course he's off playing with those rebel indians at the moment. |

| Uuummmm there is also one other thing you did not have the decency to get right either hayden....Taylor is part Samoan part white (white skinned Pakeha) father. He is proud of both his parents. Are you all white hayden? It must be a problem for you to have caused you to cite skin colour rather than brain colour! |

| When the white massas stop fiddling with selection policies that are only too quick to dump coloured players such as Adams, Taylor and even Patel (even though Turner's wife is Indian!)when they peform poorly, then we might not be asking silly questions such as the one that you've answered poorly here mr hayden. White skin players can fiddle and skiddle and spodlle on the cricket field and even fail and the white massas (selectors) will use the weather and the breakfast and even the side of the bed the whities fell out of, (not to mention a battery of psychological tests to see if their right temple is slightly hollower than the left) and not their culture or skin colour. I dont think you have thought this through properly hayden. |

How, Taylor, Patel would be the top picks, Sinclair is useless, and a waste of space in a odi team, test's maybe...
And as for H marshall he was no great loss. |
