| Ross is still a young talent, give him sometime within the team to develop. I think that certainly the pressure within international cricket must be hard to get use too. So, he's dropped a few balls (I found it frustrating too!) but everyone will forget it; if he later becomes a NZ cricketer, whom no-one would even consider being rid of. I think he'll became a worthwell mainstay in the side. |

| People should stop knocking the lad, young players are almost always inconsistant for the first 20 or so tests. It doesnt help when no one else has been stepping up to the mark. I would keep Ross in as he has obvious talent. I would also give Jesse Ryder a go this year as he is the most talented young batsman i have seen in the country. Its time the selectors grew some balls and ditched the guys just going through the motions. |

clearly everyone bad mouthing rossco is a complete moron!As sum1 else pointed who else is performing? Scott Styris, mcculum, vincent?...NO. A lot of our guys have great potential currently in the team, but its like every other sport in NZ, we just lack the mental capacity for consistency. Now that is the Inconvenient Truth!!!
And don't worry Rossco will be back, you can count on that |

| yep that is a big whole of experience to fill,Cairns,astle,mcmilla n and part time bond,thats half our strike force in runs and wickets at their best,hey have you seen samoan cricket? its absolutely mean they bowl at a phenominal pace and the bat is half the size but they swing like a golf club when hitting the ball,they have hawk-eye sight and can hit the ball for a 12 out of the park.I say sign some of these weekend warriors up,they couldnt do any worse |

Personally, I think Ross has great potential. He's having a rough time of it now, but we need to persevere. If he can hang tough and get through this series I'm he'll learn by it.
I remember that Sth Africa had faith with their stalwart Jacques Kallis whose Test batting average was dismal in his first twenty or so. They stuck with him and look where he is now!
Besides, who else is there? It seems the Black Caps have been shuffling the same names around the top seven positions for several seasons now. What they need is more Test matches. |

You can play as bad as you want (if you are a Blackcap) before you get dropped because there is no one else to replace them. Ross has the potential to be one of the most explosive batsmen we have ever had, like all things it takes time. I reckon a good thing would be for NZ cricket to start developing "specialist" players for the different games (i.e, 20/20, One dayers, tests) like rugby do with 7's, 15's, instead of using the same players for everything, it would take a few years but I reckon NZ could really be a force in world cricket.
The test team gonna suck once Flem retires, unless they find a GOOD batsman ASAP.

| we need more tests between other countries look at sri lanka ,they are popping up every where and it wasnt that long ago they were minnos in the cricket world.You are right about taylor he is one of our better players that is going through a bad patch but NZ cricket needs more international exsposure but to the rest of the cricket world we do punch above our weight considering we have one of the smalle3st populations in the world that play it so thats a positive,we just have to keep getting behind the blackcaps!i met an english couple in auckland and this guy had been supporting Tottenem hotspur for 30yrs and they havnt won the premier ,fa cup since 1980 but he backs them as if they were the bee's knees so if he can be passionate about a team that hasnt won any thing for 26yrs we can be passionate about the blackcaps that can hold their own in world events,....GO BLACKCAPS |

| You forgot to add that he is the most talented player we have. Yes he is in a bad trot but who is starring at the moment. They haven't had much cricket and are struggling. he got runs in the tour games which the other batsmen did not. Lets revisit this topic in 12 months time and see what you say. The aussies actually rate him as having potential so i would back their vision over anyone in NZ. |

| that whole black caps team is a failure not only ross taylor.Bond is the most frustrating person in Nz CRICKET,he cnt even finish a series,we should start looking for someone else and invest more time in looking for up and coming players.Lets hope Jon Wright save us in near future |
