I'll sort them out.
1. John Wright coach.
2. Get rid of Bond, Tuffy, Mills, Oram.
3. Bring in some younger kids like Southee.
4. New batting order:
Guptill
McIntosh
How
Taylor
Ryder
Elliott
McCullum
Vetorri
Patel
Southee
Butler |

| Broom isn't even a good provincial player and our domestic competition standard is really poor so what makes anyone think he can be a good international player |

The whole tournament is pointless. It used to be a mini world cup, so it included all of the teams. This tournament only includes the top 8 teams which includes a farcical West Indian team. Cricket in the West Indies is in turmoil. Cricket as a whole would benefit more if Bangladesh replaced them at this tournament....I bet even Kenya would beat the Windies as it is. Bangladesh have proved that they do belong on the ODI circuit and have been cruely excluded from this tournament.
New Zealand Cricket will benefit if we perform well. We will gain some much needed confidence!! Its just a pity that we do not have any more cricket until November when we start our pathetic summer of cricket. |

| lol yeah thats how much i care if they won or not. nice to see broom get some runs too and all our "allrounders" getting wickets, lets see if they can keep it up. Maybe a bit/lot of complacency from India... |

How many more batsmen that can bowl do you want?? in the squad going to this pointless trophy, theres Vetorri, Oram, Guptill, Ryder, Taylor, Elliot, Diamanti, Broom and Butler....which leaves you with 2 Keeper-batsmen and 4 specialist bowlers. Out of the "all-rounders" you have only 2 people in the team for the batting only (Guptill and Taylor). Ryder & Elliot are both under used as bowlers, Diamanti and Broom wont get a look in and poor old Jetan....he might as well get used to running the drinks.
I think we need more specialist batsmen, weve had them in the past, Sinclair, the Marshall brothers and Rigger!! Just to name a few, but in this team, everyone can do a bit of something ok...we need specialists!!
If you look at other teams arond the world, India have Gambhir & Sehwag (both specialists....Sehwag bowls a bit every now and then), South Africa have Gibbs & Smith, England have Strauss and who knows whos next. Can we see the common theme?? Specialist openers. Some teams even have specialist 3;s & 4's & 5's (i.e Australia Ponting, Clarke & Hussey; India Tendulkar, Dravid and Raina).
I could carry on listing all sorts of things, but what the Black Caps really need, is some specialist batsmen...we only have 2 at the moment!! |

i can only remember him doing that once in a chapple hadlee game at christchurch (i think) a few years back.

Oram has played over 130 ODI and has an average under 25 !!!
DO NOT tell me he is an all rounder.
They guy should be dumped.
Replaced by Tim Southee.
I'd rather watch a kid with potential than a has-been with none. |

Broom is another victim of NZ Crickets ridiculous policy of playing grossly out of form players hoping that they'll magically find form under pressure. Oram is an amazing player, but hes lacking form. Broom is the obvious choice to take his batting position whilst Elliot would take his bowling position, but for some strange reason, Oram gets all the chance he wants, Broom gets hardly any and is dropped because hes under performing. How can you under perform when you cant get a decent go.
The current players have no pressure to perform. There is no one knocking on the door.
It looks as though Broom is going to be one of the many decent players left out to dry by the "selectors". |

what does he mean by 40 overs thing?
He means the Black Caps have been
3 to 6 wickets down within the first 10 overs recently
I think.. |

Broom WHO?????
Ohhhh!! NIEL BROOM, Gotcha!! our new superhero who has played 9 odi games and has a high score of 29 and a average of 18.28 at a slashing strike rate of 74.41. Wow I am just so glad our selectors only pick the best of the best!! It warms the cokles of my heart knowing we have such a game breaker in our ranks. Richard Hadley and co must be so proud!!!!!!!!! |
