3rd ODI vs Bangladesh
Ryder - out
McCullum - out
within the first five overs
We do make it hard for ourselves don't we? |

I just can't understand why they have a pretty out of touch McCullum opening the batting. What a waste! If they have Ryder opening they don't need two aggresive batsmen starting the innings, between the two they get carried away and throw their wicket out the window!
Here's how i see the ODI team:
1) Ryder
2)How
3)Taylor
4)Styris
5)McCullum
6)Get rid of no tooth Flynn
7)Oram
8)Vettori
9)Mills
10)Southee
11)Patel/Martin |

| You get Jesse Ryder out of the pub and I'll get someone to teach Fulton how to bat. Someone else can get Mills to bowl faster than 12mph |

Now that they have announced the 2020 / ODI teams Im just wondering what kind of batting order are they going to settle on... given that the selectors have indicated that Ryder will open with McCullum, here's how I think they will start...
1) McCullum
2) Ryder
3) How
4) Fulton
5) Styris
6) Taylor
7) Oram
8) Vettori
9) Mills
10) Hitchcock
11) Martin/Southee
If they play Southee... that's probably the longest batting order we've ever field! However I feel Taylor will be wasted at 6, here's how I would like to see the order goes
1) Hitchcock/How
2) McCullum
3) Fulton
4) Taylor
5) Styris
6) Ryder
7) Oram
8) Vettori
9) Mills
10) Southee
11) Martin
Having Hitchcock to open will give us an extra option on the bowling front. McCullum can go back to 6/7 again and How can open too. (Always think McCullum is the best at finishing but he has done very well opening recently) |
