| NZ CRICKET should have a good hard look at them selfs...we have lost the best fast bowler nz has ever seen all because nz cricket f......d up. If bond was playing we may have had a chance, as the rest of the players seem to play better when bond is playing |

Man people rubbish the blackcaps like theres no tomorrow..
people are all to quick to for get the cricketing greats we have had over the years. The Congdons the Hadlees, the greatbatches, the jones the wrights the edgars the turners.
for such a small sporting nation kiwis have proven themselves.
yes we have bad bloody games
(dam the aussies) joke.
but like any day we can get up and win.
injurys yes players get forced back before time.
stop being critics and go out and face a bowler of top internation class, or a batsmen on a rampage.
i faced them and its not that easy.
!st comes 1st i am a true blue kiwi and will always back them.

Playing provincial cricket in SA offers little to suggest you are equipped intellectually to comment on the Black Caps or indeed any cricket.
The topic is not worth a response but having some South African post comments did require a response.
Enjoy yourself back in SA, I trust you and your family are here on holiday only...not fulltime. |

| cricket in nz is mainly(not all)for the middle class unlike rugby a game for all,i think we lack a bit of diversity in the team(parore+sua tried to promote the game to the maori+island kids ,hope to see more coming through in the future)at least in the shortened versions,not so much the tests which are too long+drawn out.With our fickle weather,small population+ the injury curse we seem to have we will always struggle but i will always back them,as long as theyre competitive. |

| Hmm I am sure a couplke of tthe Blackcaps squad might suck... But only if asked nicely.. However can they play cricket.. In short yes. But like anything, you are only as good as your resources. IN a semi small land like ours money is not thrown into sports in the quantities it is overseas. We make do with what we are give. Maybe the thread heading should be.. Does the NZ public give enough support to the black caps and do we provide enough resources? |

NZ Black caps as a 1day team are ranked in the top3.
tests thats different if you watch any1day games you would
realise NZ are a awesome chasing team.

| the black caps are a one day team without major stars such as steyn, pietersen, lee etc but we win the majority of odis we play and with the likes of vettori, mccullum and oram in the team, there is seldom a situation where you could count us out of any odi contest. we beat eng comprehensively 3-1 on both eng and nz soil.... ur a tool |

| I have obviously hit a sore nerve seeing as though you have become very defensive and aggresive! Why didn't you change your heading so that there would be no misunderstanding? Any test that ends in a draw is boring, no matter who is playing! Just for your information I played provicial cricket back in SA so I know what it's like facing a quick bowler... |

| Dude if you are a Kiwi then I feel sorry for you! How can you abandon your team like that! Did you feel the same when the BC's won the series against Australia just before the world cup? I am South African and will support SA when they are on a high or when they are at a low, this is when they need the support the most!!!! How would they feel if any of the team were to read your comment? You need to stand behind your team, if you can do a better job get out from behind your PC and go and face a few balls coming at you around the 140 km/h mark. After that come and comment as to the skid marks in your draws!!!!! |

| south africas bowling attack in the first innings vs england sucks!! then their first innings at batting wasnt any better,so it pretty much puts into perspective how well england plays in test matches at home,the bc's were in a similar situation in the tests,they looked rather ordinary,it mirrors how africas going in the first test. |
