Does anyone remember Jeremy Coney? The number 6 batsman who scored centuries (against Oz) during the 80s during our best time and removed world class batsmen such as Viv Richards with his slow bowling in key situations. Has to be a certainty for any dream team.

No doubt John Wright was a solid opener and a real fighter, however, he was not a game-winner. Taylor has the talent but not the experience and Roger Twose although a good player, lacked the longevity in the game.

Twose instead of jones. Jones was a great test batsman but never scored a one day hundred and had a strike rate of only 57. Twose averaged 38.8 with the bat at 75 (more than jones or crowe) and was instrumental in our victory in the ICC knockout, still our only tournament victory
