LMAO - their own blurb says it all. The longest running eposidal TV series ... it is all scripted.

No, it is not a sport - never has been and never will be.

WWe is slowly going from scripted to non scripted... there is alot more than people realise if your talking bout TNA.... well they cant put out a game better than WWE..... I Have followed WWE for years and cause they get the young ones from Training and puttingthem in the spotlight... well if you can do better become a wrestler and enter the house of pain WWE.... the moves are real as the injuries are real....so kids please dont try this at home is the message.

shuaigejacobhoo - wrestling (WWE etc...) has NEVER been real.
It's not a sport becuase while there is doubtlessly effort and physical work involved there is no competition.
It's not a sport - it's a performance.

Pro Wrestling is a sport cuz it requires alot of physical work.

But WWE is a show, entertainment. It used to be real like back in the 80's and early 90's.

But, now, everyone can predict what the outcome would be.

Usually, in the major event, the "Nice" guy wins. But they need to be beaten up by the opponent illegally prior to the major event.

Hey Jock....great that you sent a post in actually...I can remember you as a 9 or 10 yr old kid seeing your name Dr Death and John D'Silva and Bruno Bekker and so on doing the circuit in Taranaki...I used to see the advertisement in the local paper...it was like seeing a circus coming to town...sened like big stuff to me then....all part of my childhood...will never forget it...I went to one night of wrestling but cannot remember much as I was crook
Recent wrestling I saw was a female flatmate of mine in 1990 got outwrestled by a teenage girl on my back lawn...she was so embarrassed big time

Interesting. I last saw John da Silva, who I wrestled in the 60's at Robert Bruce's funeral in Auckland. Bruno Bekkar who I wrestled many many times visited me at my summer home at Whangarei Heads. You may remember me as Jock Ruddock, I am also the original New Zealand Dr Death. Nice of you to remember us. Just as an aside, Al Hobman, the nicest guy in Wrestling took up my mask when I left New Zealand to wrestle in the UK in 1967.

Re:Is WWE Wrestling really sport? Reply to this message
How is it a sport - sport - by definition, is a contest to see who can inevitably come out the victor. Wrestling is predetermined bollocks which is enjoyed by people with identity issues who can therefore relate. I can however, see wrestling as being entertaining - but Oprah Winfrey is entertaining and entertainment should not be confused with sport or you end up with a situation where viewers get bored of the entertaining factors (i.e. Professional rugby). Entertainment - in sport - is a bi-product of a the actual contest. This argument draws a stark comparison to the religion v evolution argument - uncanny!! I would also like to question all dillusional wrestling fans - Is it true you can actually bet on the outcome of a wrestling match? Does this seem a tiny, weeney, little bit daft given the result is predetermined? The dumb leading the dumb methinks.
