I agree with you to a point, you can't say that they don't get hurt, of course theres blood and scratches but thats part of the script innit? good entertainment has always needed blood and some dramas. Not a sport for sure but could be a enter'sport'ainment of a kind lol

Re:Is WWE Wrestling really sport? Reply to this message
Thanks for the reply...Garth is the son of John D'Silva?
When I was living in Wellington in the early 1980s...I used to go to a gymn owned by Steve Rickard at the top of Cuba Street-Steve Richard was of NZ Big Time Wrestling fame-his sons wrestled and "reffed" as well...Ricky Rickard and another one...Now Steve he had some American based wrestlers-Mark Lewin,Rick Martel,King Curtis,Ox Baker,Joe Le Duc,Ripper Collins,Larry O'Dea from Aust, Al Perez,Samoan Joe, Kung Fu Lee...now Mark Lewin...I have never seen a bloke "as wide as him in the shoulders" I saw him at this gym they used to practice in the bottom floor of the gym..."I thought he could throw me like a javelin" if he needed to...in hindsight wondered if they were on the "juice" thinking about it...were very big people...that Rick Martel got into the WWF in the late 80s...Steve Rickard used to sell boxes of a protein mix to put on weight(I used to buy this stuff) only problem was all the gym work I did made me burn off any condition I tried to put on ironically....but I can say from 1980 to now I got to 80kg at age 49 so yeah thats my memories

Re:Is WWE Wrestling really sport? Reply to this message
It is not a sport, because sport requires a contest. Professional wrestling is more like live theatre, with 'stunt' actors playing parts.
It wont be taken seriously because Vince McMahon who owns the whole shindig doesnt want it to be serious. In competition sports people get hurt, but you can bring the whole family to live theatre! He knows where the mulah is$$$$$$$

No, you are not dreaming. Dave Batista's father is a Filipno and boxer Manny Pacquiao (not Paquarie) who dismantled Hatton is a Filipino. Then, who will support who?

I can remember watching New Zealand Big Time Wrestling when I was a kid in the early early 1970s-I think it was on at 11 or 12 at night-I thought it was such a hoot-even thought the ring floor had alot of bounce in it!! was almost like a trampoline!! the drama was so funny but could not get over how big those wrestlers were-long as people ought to know it was all staged even then
