| Shane Cameron is a good fighter and lacks no heart, he is a bleeder though and Tua is a hard puncher, looking at him on tonight's news he is in the best shape he's been for a long time, Cameron will be going to stop him. |

| If Cameron gathers all his wits and musters up enough positive energy from his supporters across the country he might, just might, be able to pull off the unlikely and make it past the 4th round. Tua is looking in lethal condition already and he's still 8 weeks out from getting into top shape. Cameron has decent body punches. If he weren't such a bleeder I'd encourage him to in box with Tua ala Holyfield and Tyson and cut away at his stamina...we all know going for tua's jaw is a waste of time.. |

They had odds up before the fight got postponed Rocco, I'm pretty sure they had Tua @ $1.50 and Cameron out around $2.50.
I'm pretty sure they were going to lengthen the odds on Tua as all the moneys been going on Shane so might pay to see what happens there if your gonna put anything on the Tuaman. |

Trying to make up my mind about it to be honest, if the undercard comes together well I think I'll have to be there - mind you if we get Vern and Shammy in the same room I think we'll have our very own undercard fight lol
Had to opt for the women - couldn't let myself getting dragged into fetching drinks since Rocky hasn't been around hahaha |

it looks like we're going to spend it with dad in front of the PPV. So it will be us and the old man spending time together and having a few cold ones as opposed to sitting with DT.net crew and watching that lot start a fight with each other before that actual fighting started in the ring hahaha. Look Louise - if you think the only thing Tua brings to the ring is his left hook you need to go and watch a few more of his fights. Cmaerons too smart to let himself get hit?!? Did you even see the Ahunanya fight? Standing and trading in the 12th round when your a mile ahead on points - that's smart is it?
And I think if you're even going to consider say things like none of Tuas opponents have been in their prime, you should probably go and take a closer look at Camerons record - it's filled with guys who never had a prime! And while your checking that out you should take a peak at Tuas record - Ibeabuchi, Lewis, Byrd, Rahman, Fast Fres, Moorer, Maskaev, Ruiz - Cameron isn't qualified to carry the jockstrap of one of these guys.
Let me guess, you haven't watched any fights in the last few years other than Camerons have you?
The only way Cameron wins this fight is if Tua injures HIMSELF in the ring.
Saintella - your right they both have strengths and weaknesses. Tua's are his inactivity, questionable fitness and supposedly his age. I say supposedly because he's actually a year younger than Vitali Klitschko who is either the best or second best heavyweight in the world right now.
Camerons weaknesses are obvious as well, he cuts easily, cant fight off his back foot, and doesn't seem to know when its time to go to Plan B.
Look I like Cameron - he's done a lot to bring boxing back into the headlines here in NZ, but the trouble seems to be these fans of his that aren't actually fans of the sport. They dont have a frame of reference to compare Cameron within, and as a result come to the conclusion that he's truely a world class fighter. He's not, he's a regional fighter who's about to get in the ring with a guy who while past his best is still in a totally different league.
What it comes down to is that all of Camerons weaknesses play straight into Tua's biggest strengths - Tua inside 4. |

| Look guys, its easy to sit back and make comments about Tua and Camron, but the truth is, each fighter has their own style, strengths and weaknesses. Unless you get in the ring with either of them, we should just wait and see after their bout. Im a Tua fan, but even I know he hasnt fought for the last two years so im not expecting a big knock out, as for Cam, well I did like him cos hes a NZ boxer, but he has a soft jaw and he cuts easy. Plus he shouldnt have challenged Tua espcially when he knows that Tua also helped him spar and get a few pointers with his boxing skills. Any ways, I cant wait for that fight, Im going the Tuaman to win, points, but if he KOs Cam, it will be in the 2nd round... |

| Dunno why everyone thinks tua's so great,he has 1 punch and thats the big left hook,cameron's to smart to let him connect with 1 of those,and the only reason friday beat him was cause he cut up and could'nt see.Tua has fought and beaten some great fighters but never any that have been in there prime,waits till their has beens a bit like he is.I think cameron has got it all not just some of whats needed to be the next great fighter, hes determined to go to the top and i cant wait to see all your opinions change, but being typical humans you'll all forget these coments you've made against him.Tua wont cut him because he wont hit him often enough. But at least the odds at the T.A.B will be in my favour,not really a betting man but got a pretty good feeling that cameron's win is a sure thing! |

Absolutley agree that Barry geuinely cared for Dave in the early days, just all seemed to go down hill once Pugh came on the scene is all. Ah well, whats happened has happened, nothing to be done about it now.
I notice Tua's made a few sly references to Kenny Reinsfield when he gets asked about what happened to him with Barry etc.. Could be Tua's trying to give Cameron a bit of advice |

He really did give a damn about David when they first hooked up BUT, I reckon he started changing when he started appearing at the ringside in his peacok outfits and George Michael haircuts. That's when I thought that their relationship was going to change and boy did they do a number on David. But I agree, I wd like to see both step up their workload. ciao |

majay, you are right and you are wrong. Cameron is not a power puncher!! All his KO's against "no name" fighters are a combination of punches. Tua is a different story!!
Tua has won 29 of his fights without going to the fourth round; two of his fights lasted less than 30 seconds (he KO'd Michael Moorer in 30 seconds, and floored John Ruiz in 19), a record tied by only one other boxer, Jeremy Williams. At least two more of Tua's bouts have lasted under a minute, although full records of his early fights are incomplete, so he may have more short bouts.
Tua ranks 2nd in most opponents knocked down in the first round, while Mike Tyson ranks first.
In 2003, Tua was ranked 48th on Ring Magazine's list of 100 greatest punchers of all time.
While Tua only received one shot at a heavyweight title belt, he owns victories over fighters John Ruiz (two-time heavyweight champion), Hasim Rahman (two-time heavyweight champion), Fres Oquendo (two-time heavyweight title challenger), Oleg Maskaev (former WBC heavyweight champion), and Michael Moorer (two-time heavyweight champion).

Both fighters can punch, first my guess is whoever lands the first knock-out punch on the pressure button wins the fight. If Tua wants to win he has to be ready to fight and needs to work and catch Cameron and throw combination. He has good combination therefore he needs to get in and work at him and not stand around and wait like he did with Lenox. Tua can win the fight, but he has to be fit and be hungry and fight and not forget to defend. For sure he can knock cameron out, but he has to catch him first and that is my concern. That's why I need him to be really fit and triple his work rate and combination thru there he can make it.
Cameron has the advandage, he is ranked in the world and Tua is not. Secondly he is fit and younger and can also throw powerful punches and is fast and also have good combination, and have the reach. He can also mix it up. But if he wants to win I'd say, he needs to stay out and use his reach and chap Tua. He needs to use his left hand to keep Tua out. From there his opportunity hopefully will come. If it comes he must take it and use it, he must have blocks up otherwise his gone. Because Tua is the man and he can punch the light out.
I only hope that Tua will have another shot at the Title and later Cameron will have his. I am just disappointed that both kiwis will have to fight each other now, may the best man win. |
