| Stew - it's gonna be a PPV mate, dont know how much it'll cost off the top of my head. Totally agreed re Tua Cameron, if Cameron had the skills to box and stay away from Tua I'd be giving him half a chance - but he's never show the ability |

Tua will beat Cameron no worries, and he will hurt him.
If Lennox Lewis couldn't put Tua on the canvas then sure as hell Cameron ain't gunna.
Cameron is a "good" fighter but thats all.
Forget about the fact that Tua hasn't fought for two years,he will be fresh and hungry and you can't buy the experience he has.
And does anyone seriously think Tua wants to be beaten by one of his own countryman,I think not,he won't want to be remembered as the "second best" fighter NZ had.
I just hope it is live on the telly that night,if so watch the ratings ............. |

It was a shame - I think Pugh was more of a problem than Barry though. hewas theone that had a real focus on the money side of things, while Barry had always been about dave and boxing really.
I actually do hope that Cameron surprises me and performs a a higher level than we've seen thus far.
Ah well - only another 5 months and we get to see!!!
In the meantime, have a good weekend Kaneio :) |

| With his white skin and constant bleeding, he did look like a cream donut! I think he would of learned alot from that fight and will be better for it. I agree that Cameron won't go as far as what Tua did, but I think he will still be better than Tua. Tua hasn't fought anyone for 2 years and hasn't fought real competition since Byrd or Rachman over 5 years ago? It is a real shame what happened with Tua, he should have never gone with Kevin Barry. |

I know Kaneio, I think I've posted before that I hope Cameron keeps boxing and keeps doing it at this end of the world.
If both he and Tua were to leave the local scene - whether it be to go over seas or retirement - we really dont have anyone coming up to pick up tyhe reins and continue the good work Shane has done getting boxing back in the headlines in NZ.
I just feel that the way he fights - while exciting and often visceral - wouldn't fair well in the upper echelons of the sport. Particularly if he stays at heavyweight. I know people love to bang on about the lack of depth and substance at heavyweight at the moment, but I still feel there are guys out there who do all the things Shane does, just a little better, and they're a little bigger as well.
now if he were to consider moving to Cruiserweight then who knows - he'd never fight a guy that was bigger than him, we know he will always train hard and show up in shape, and I could see him having alot more success at that weight. Just my opinion of course but he doesn't look like a natural heavy to me - I think he's built himself up to that weight but he's still small when compared to the rest of the division. |

| I admit, Cameron hasn't fought any competition either. Give him the opportunity though and I feel he will deliver. Maybe not by KO but by good solid boxing skills. Yeah, he did get beaten by Friday who is probably his hardest competition so far, but there was a lot to like about Cameron before he got knocked out. Like he was winning the rounds before. He will be a lot tougher, smarter boxer for that experience. |

Well there was Fast Fres - good technical guy, I'll admit that Fres got c 0 c ky though.
Maskaev? He'd be over 6 foot wouldn't he? I guess that's only a TKO though.
Rahman? Not exactly class but he did get his hands on the belts.
So you may have a point there.
But let me ask you - how many 5'9" Samoan wrecking machines has Cameron beaten? In fact who would you rank as Camerons best (hardest, highest ranked) opponent?
Do they compare to Fres, Rachman, Maskaev? |

| To be honest with you, he hasn't actually knocked any class fighters out that are over 6ft? You might say Ruiz or some fighter like that but Cameron, given the opportunity, would knock them out as well. Maybe not as quick as what Tua would as I admit he is the stronger punch, but not the better boxer and there is where this fight will be won. Tua is to predictable with his left hook. |

Using Lennnox Lewis - the best & most technically gifted heavyweight in years - as an example Kaneio? You sure that makes your point?
Look the fact remains that Tua does have great head movement, and generally his defense is pretty strong. The way he slipped shots and rolled them off his shoulders was what let him get inside bigger guys reach to cause damage.
How else does a guy whos 5'9" in his high heels knock out guys over 6 feet tall? |

| Tua, great head movement? Keep dreaming. How many punches did Tua 'move' out the way from when Lewis was beating him. Lewis didn't even get out of second gear in that fight against Tua. The klits would kill both fighters in a fight. |

Nah rcandcb - there wont be any blood, first heavy shot that lands from Tua and it's all over, no time for bleeding lol
Tomai - Fair enough bro, but if one of these 2 was getting in the ring with one of the Klit's who would you want it to be?
I just think against either of those 2 Tua has a better shot than Cam because he has superior head movement and might be able to get inside and hurt the body. Cam would just end up eating jabs, getting cut then KTFO |

| haha..too true brother but im 50/50. they both need a win but i think its cams time though. Tua had his chance but in saying that if Tua wins he (Cam) would never have been good enough for the title anyway. Either guy wins it don't matter cos they both getting paid and its just entertainment in the end isn't it? |

| In order to save camerons, face, wrist, ribbs and general health he should decline fighting the tuaman.Cameron has never faced an opponent like David and with cameron being injury prone to second rate fighters well .....say no more |

| Good call. I would like to see how he goes in a warm up fight. I am basing my judgement that Cameron will win on Tua's last 2 fight's that were in 2007. He looked as though he didn't have the passion anymore in those fights. Yeah he won easy but didn't look the explosive same as he was a couple of years before that. |

| Kinda depends on the Tua that shows up though, the one that fought Fox & Montana was getting his timing back and had pretty good fittness, that Tua gets Davios out really early. Of course he wont be in that condition for his first fight back, which would have been good news for Cameron ;) but now he has months to shake off the ring rust and whatever weight he needs to, as well as time for a warm up fight. |

We shall see, we shall see, odds on the Tuaman has a warm up in may or june now. What I'd give to see him line up Robert Davis lol
Davis has been making noises about getting on the June undercard, well why doesn't Tua oblige and let him headline? At least that'd give us a point of comparison... |
