morepork - Race has no issue here mate. Also if you take the time you'll find a lot of people have bothered to post reasons why they think Tua will win - tangible stuff regarding Shane's fighting style and jaw etc - while most Cameron supporters seem only able to come up with "he's old and fat" about why Cameron will beat Tua.
End of the day I hope to see you here after the fight, 'cause if I'm wrong and Shane does come out on top I'll be in for my slice of humble pie - will you? |

| frydmorepork? you sure you're not just fried? who gives a c.r.a.p about Tua? probably all the heavyweights that want to beat him and all the heavyweights that still don't want to risk losing to him. So plenty ya dimwit. And you'll see just who gives a c.r.a.p this weekend when you're listening to the punters cheering for David Tua and comiserating Shane Cameron. On ya Cameron but Tua's too much for you. peace |

Maoribusiness - Thos things you've mentioned certainally do exist in boxing, as they do in any sport. You always get people competing at the top level who aren't motivateed anymore. But while you're obviously aware of the faults of some in the sport you neglect the vast majority who are the complete oppopsite :)
Moorem93 - Tua's been down twice in the ring, once against Rahman when he was h1t after the bell, and once as an amature by Felix Savon. |

| im looking foward to it,,i know tua hasnt fought for awhile,,but hes still going to be hard to knock over,,he can take a punch, personally i cant see cameron lasting the distance,,tua just hits too hard,,and cameron bleeds to easily,,,good luck to both,,but $1.45 for a tua knockout looks like a good bet,you can say what you like about tua,,but i cant ever remember him ever off his feet in the ring(i could be wrong) |

Good luck to both fighters in a few days time. I can only assume it has been labelled the fight of the century, because it has taken nearly that long to set it up. Who really cares who started it...in the end, all that matters is who the winner is...at the end.
Boxing is a bit of a joke at the moment, its more entertainment than a bonafide sport, not because of the physicality, so no need to huff and puff at me, but come on. You fight once a year sometimes less, and the rankings hardly change, no one wants to fight anyone for political reasons, the heavyweight division is especially laughable. You get to the top and you fight others depending on what you have to gain or lose...it has nothing to do whether they have 'earned' the right to fight. There are multiple asscociations, all as bad as each other and are going nowhere. Imagine the Rugby world cup holders playing one game a year...yeah nice way to get support from your Country...or anyone else for that matter. They are not primadonnas, they should be required to fight, once a Month, belts on the line mandatory. This is why people tube it to UFC and K2. They fight all the time, hence they are in good fighting condition. They dont gain and lose 20 plus kilos between fights...they are fighters not divas that fight on occasion. For an occasion that happens too little too late. I hope the fight is good, real good, no excuses. Peace. |

News is that Tua's weighing 110kg ('bout 242 pounds) today. Fantastic weight for him for this fight and more bad news for Cameron really.
Looking at recent photos the Tuaman doesn't seem to be carrying much fat at all, reasonable to assume most of that 110kg is muscle at this stage. That mans got some hellishly strong looking legs. |

Ropativ -"Like I said earlier, it's a farce to lable this fight as the one of the century."
Agreed, but lets not forget it was NEW ZEALANDS Fight of The Century until the media got ahold of it.
It is what it is at the end of the day - the single biggest fight in recent memory to be held on NZ soil, and a damn strong undercard (bar the Hoppa circus) to boot.
I know what you mean about the whole "Tua approached us for the fight" thing, Kenny's just pi$$ed he missed out on promoting this because of his own insufferable arrogance. At the end of the day Duco approached David with an offer which he accepted, Duco then approached Camp Cameron and entered into negotiations on the basis that they had done what Kenny couldn't - get Tua's signature on a contract.
Kenny's already cutting off his nose by making statements ahead of this fight to the tune of "we wont work with Duco again" - If I could give Shane one piece of advice it'd be to drop this pretender - he's not half the promoter Higgins and Duco is and that shows through on the strength of the undercard alone. |

Watched the doco last night on Prime, and Tua's camp showed so much commitment as usual whereas Shane's seemed to play down the hype they earlier put up on media. They now claimed that Tua approached them for a fight, after two years they asked him for one. Amazing how much BS these people spouts on the media. Instead of the trainer stating what strategy they are exploring to score a win, they just went through their own history of achievements....i.e. the Trainer having a diatribe about being professional kickboxer, and the Manager being a World professional wrestler...!! They looked dead with some misgivings, perhpas they realised it's too late having run their mouths off for two years, and I think it is summed up with the uncertainty displayed by Shane when he said "....IF Tua wins, nobody will be surprised, BUT IF I win, they will find that hard to chew." No boxer goes in the ring with two minds. They may have to respect their opponent, but they muct be mentally tough to finish the job. Seems like the poor fellow's confidence gone down a bit, but to have a good fight he needs to brace himself up for the challenge.
Like I said earlier, it's a farce to lable this fight as the one of the century. I would rather watch my cat have a fight with my neighbour's rabbit. |

I read this morning the Dave Higgins of Duco ius now denying that garcia went to hospital because of Davids punches - apparently it was a "non boxing related infection" which he was issued antibiotics for.
Right, who was the smart a$$ that took him down K Road? |

| kiwisownboks, settle down dickwad, no need to hurl abuse 'poki'. Get your facts right. I didn't label anyone anything. So before huffing and puffing, squaking like a chicken, think aboutwhen you'll be doing the same at the pub before the fight spoiling for a rumble, pick on the smallest, drunk, or own friend and then get KTFO!So it sounds like your already on your way. Get lost and good luck when you recover, post fight night. |

Read that too darkshark - now assumming Garcia was wearing head gear during the sparring session with Tua, not only is it impressive but extremely scary that he can have a head swollen to the extent that it warrants a hospital visit.
It's obvious Tua hasn't lost much of his power. I just hope Garcia doesn't end up abducting a child and being pursued by police in the manner Ibeabuchi did post Tua. |
