| I have watched this Tua/Cameron boxing thing on the newsites over the last century it seems and it has to be the most peripheral and boring sporting event in NZ sport history. It is the ultimate journalistic and hype exercise that has been like trying to pump up a flat tyre with a big hole in the tube. For god sake, get real you supposed sport people who have an interest in this. |

Agreed Lollo is a class act and one of the best, his credentials are beyond doubt in the kickboxing scene, I just wonder if it's all transferring to boxing as nicely as he would've liked. Hate to say it but Cameron was really coming along under Garcia, IMO after he left Shane's development has stalled a little - defensively he's gone backwards a little I reckon.
m4- Nah it wont be disapointing man, if he trades it'll end in the first round - now that'd be disapointing!!!
Dont think Shane can win by KO - he needs to stay away and try for the points decision, but as I've said before you cant turn a brawler into a boxer in a short amount of time, which is what Lollo is having to try and do... |

| the way he called out tua for 3 yrs, saying he'll take him out, knock him out etc..and all that jazz!!, it sure will be disappointing, if he did fight , tactical, toe to toe, ala tyson, knock out ,or be knocked out,I say, see which bomb lands home!!! |

| Yeah, sweet as bro, not arguing. I hope Shane's in good hands too. I know for certain that he's got one of the best in Lolo Heimuli, he's a class act. No offense taken too. Just passionate for my bros and sincerely hope both fighters are busy on the night and David gets a few more fights in the near future. One to look out for apparently is Inga Tuigamala's son who's in development for heavyweight division. Peace out. Tua's latest quote, " F... for Effort" Go Tua!!! |

ckgalo - guess I just think that there's enough argueing on these threads without everything becoming a racial topic. By all means voice your opinions, and in fact I agree that Shane has a lot of people hanging off him and they'll bleed im dry in the end - just hope he's learnt something from Tua's past problems.
Anyway no offense intended. |

| darkshark no worries bro, I'm cilled out but stand firm on what i say. I am but one of the many that have been told to 'chill out' about issues that are real to us, but quietly relish the good things that 'we' do for our comunity and country. So, you don't have to repeat yourself for my benefit. I'm not spoiling for a fight either but you obviously read violence into our persona like comments made about polynesians in the school rugby fiasco. I will however continue voicing my opinion about these stereotypes because it saddens me that we are labelled as such. I brought David Tua's ethnicity into it because I'm just a proud brown bro who just wants others like yourself to try and understand and see through our eyes the subtleties of racism that happens at all levels. Don't me bro, just voicing my opinion. No assumptions, just educated guesses and personal experience. You will never understand and that's fine. Peace be with you darkshark or light brown shark or great white shark or astheticallypleasingkinda darkshark. What's that about your prediction? Isn't that just assuming? N'mind, Just keep it to myself yeah? Onya mate. |

ckgalo - Chill out man. You're the one who brough Davids race into this, no-one else. On that note why are you making assumptions about me and what I believe?
Most of wahat you've posted smacks of someone who's just spoiling for a fight.
But maybe you should take the time to go and read some of the earlier posts in this thread - and maybe some others before you go jumping the gun. Then maybe you'd know where I stand on Tua, Cameron and the FOTC.
But my prediction is you wont do that, and I'm not about to repeat myself for your benefit. |

| Race stuff? I'm talking about the obvious exploitation of MY brown brothers. Shane's going to be the cash cow for Reinsfeld et al but I'm not suprised that dolts like you don't see it. Because you like many sweep it under the carpet. I'm offended by it all because it happens to a lot of us daily. The fact is Tua GOT there! isn't that worth some respect? That he acknowledged Aotearoa for the life he came to achieve here? Opportunities for success? now acknowledging tangata whenua and Maori TV for their support? Still haters bag him so what is it? that he's heavy? doesn't look like you? broken english? You won't see my point of view because you deny any wrong doing as the many before you and the many to come. Still, we quietly wish David Tua well and suppress our "choohoo ing" because it's just too much for you. So, I am Samoan and continue to remind people of the way people treat us even the ones that do well for Aotearoa. Peace to you and yeah, Cameron's the poor bugger who's going to face Tua's sting. Peace. |

I hear the Hoppa - Meehan fight they were trying to put together for the undercard has fallen apart.
Apparently they've offered a fight with Hoppa to Chauncy Welliver who has accepted, just waiting for Hoppa to accept/decline now.
Chauncy says they also offered the Hoppa fight to Ahunanya first, who turned it down. Considering Duco is rumoured to be planning a Rahman - Tua fight next I wouldn't mind betting they are trying to get Ahunanya to come back and rematch Cameron for that one. |

ckaglo - Agree Camerons going to sleep, but why all the race stuff?!?
I think the point of the post about the Lewis fight was just meaning that he went into his shell - cant deny that - nothing to do with the colour of his skin man. Lighten up. |

| frightened school kid against Lewis????? Man, you guys are haters man. It just shows what I keep saying, Jealous of brown bros representing NZ. Even maori bros in Gizzy who are sick of Samoans and other islanders doing the business, when all they are doing is good. Cameron is just the more asthetically pleasing half pakeha half maori golden boy for them. One old maori koro said to me, I guess assuming I was a maori," did you see the ABs last nite? those f...ing coconuts should be sent back to their country, there f...ing up the all blacks!" I said 'yeah, send us all back bro' Then read that Sivivatu and Nonu were the stand out players against Aussies. Go figure bro. Tua's gonna smash Cameron to bits and I'll be wishing it was Kevin Barry, Poogh, Reinsfield and Lance Revill, who I thought would be experienced enough to be impartial. But he's a rah rah man for Cameron too. Cameron's got heart man, but it's a pity he's just the cash cow for Reinsfeld just like Kevin Bollocks Barry. Bring it! |

| kaneio, you sound like a great judge of boxing, from the couch that is. Cameron has been calling Tua out for what, 3 years now. when he finally gets a chance, him and his coach etc stall for another 8-9 months. why? because Cameron and company know he is under prepared, Tua is not like the rest of the bums he's fought, this is the real deal, someone who's been all the way to the top. If you look at cameron's last fight he went 10 rounds with an out of shape druggy who had only been training a coupla months, and still couldn't put him down. Tua will cream him in the 5th, 6th the latest. |

"Any smart not particularly strong heavyweight boxer could beat Tua these days. It will be a 12"
like Friday the 13th, now thats an average fighter
Shane goes on and on how Lennix smashed up Tua, buts gees, lennix like him or not was very very good, Friday the 13th, man Monty Beetham would have given him a go... |

Kaneio - Tua's slow and fat? Think someone had better tell him that, 'cause according to the news and other sources he's pretty trim right now.
Thing is you've only really considered Tua in your assesment anyway. What about Cameron?
You're partially right that Tua has historically struggled with technical boxers who use good footwork and defense to stayaway from the big shots. Also right that in those fights Tua struggled to get past the jab.
Now try to match those statements up with Shane Cameron.
A technical boxer with good footwork? Nope.
A boxer who has good defense? Nope.
A guy who uses a jab a lot to stay out of trouble? Nope.
At the end of the day Cameron will be trying to do just those things, but you cant change a go forward, swarming brawler into a boxer in the space of seven months.
Cameron will come out jabbing, get caught by a shot, revert to what he knows, trade with Tua and get knocked out. |

| Those fights were around 10 years ago? It is like saying George Foreman could KO anyone now. Tua is slow and fat that produces a left that could floor anyone. Stay away from the left and you will beat old man Tua. Any smart not particularly strong heavyweight boxer could beat Tua these days. It will be a 12 round decision win to Cameron and it will be a typical boring jab-jab fight, unless Tua could land his left on Cameron then it will be lights out Cameron. |

Hi_im_nutty.
1. Lennox Lewis, Tua loss.
2. Michael Moorer, former champ, TUA by KO.
3. John Ruiz, champ later in career, TUA by KO.
4. Oleg something, big Russian mofo, champ later in career, TUA by KO.
Tua second only to Tyson in 1st round KO.
Now you know....... :-).
And yes and now you know. Tua only fought one current world champion. Get my point?
Dark shark my point about Tua being overrated was one hundred per cent directed at the bloke who said he fought four world champions. But took your point anyway. |

# 4 was Oleg Maskaev Nutty :)
Reg - Tua's not the only one who's been hyped. If you take a look at Camerons website he says that the night of the Montiy fight he could've beaten any heavyweight on earth! Now that's hype mate 'cause Montiy was a handpicked bum there to make Cameron look good and get some confidence after losing to Ahunanya.
The issue is with people buying into the hype - probably on both sides.
An honest assesment shows Cameron is up against it in this one, wrong style, doesn't hit hard enough and his jaw, while good, isn't made of the granite Tua has.
Only one man beat Tua by trading with him, Ibeabuchi, and it's been argued that the heavy shots he took that night accelerated his slide into insanity.
Camerons no Ibeabuchi, he's not Lweis, he's not Byrd, and he's certainly not Felix Savon - the only man to KO Tua.
What he is is a good regional fighter. And I take nothing away from him, on his level he's one of the best.
but Tua's level is another one up again, and IMO even a shot, overweight and uninterested Tua KO's Cameron.
But Tua isn't shot as far as we know, he isn't coming into this one overweight and as we can all see he's pretty motivated. |

by the looks of Tua's Rep compared to shanes it's like putting a lion in a cage with a wilderbeast Tua will eat him alive, not literally but he gonna do the damage you'll see.
Tua is a solid born hard %100 pacific warrior and with the amount of Taro that guy packs away he gonna use that extra weight for the big K.O |
