I agree actually about percentage and also that Aitken should have given her the time off! And i'm sorry dude but later to Scarlett! Put her up against Irene she'll push her to the limit! put her up against the aussie's and she drops balls everytime not literally drops balls but is just the clenaer player on the court doesn't rough them up at all!

| Yeah but bubby playing at 80% is better than Barret-Chase at 100%. Temepara has experience, and have you ever seen Temepara play anything less than full on? Its a no brainer. She wouldnt have made herself available if she wasnt prepared to give 100%. Thats why she pulled out earlier on, she needed a break. |

We need Anna Scarlett. if Griffin is selected its a waste of a position. Itl be how the All Blacks used there second best and didn't give there guns enough game time. we need to knock the Aussie shooters around and give them what they dish out because they dont like that...and Anna Scarlett is the girl to do that (along side Henry).
thats my opinion anyway. |

| Why would you want Temepara back in the team? She's not going to put 100% into playing for the Ferns. I'd rather have Liana Barrett-Chase than Temepara coz at least Liana will put 100% into playing for the Ferns. |

Hmmm,
SHOOT ME ANYONE! but.....there was a small part of me that kinda, sorta secretly hoped that Langman would still not be 100% come the start and that Ruth kept her as she will come right as the tournament progressed but took Temepara in the interim and replaced her with maybe scanlan or bowden. Suck i know but i was only secretly hoping........

Irene needs to throw the odd fake in when she shoots coz Ellis always jumps in, then she just stays where she lands, usually ontop of poor Irenes toes.
And yes to Williams being a good player too. She is the future for our defence end. |

Hmmm,
I don't know that i agree Nicoley666. I wouldn't say that Adine is the best player at all! Irene is pretty kick arse, Casey Williams is up there as well, as is Langman! What i think Adine is, is strong! A strength she is not displaying well on an International stage! She is not leading her team by example the attack end is terrible and i know Adine isn't the only one down that end but as you say she is the captain she better put her captain shoes on then and take command of her area. Selina Gilsenan plays extremely well against her and has her down packed. She needs to vary her game alot! Yes, there is no denying that Ellis is an exceptional player but the fact remains she is very dirty in some play! in particular there was one game where the camera got a good shot of her and Irene falling out of court and then she actually pushed her even further which sent Irene flying - hardly sportsman like! On top of that she gets away with far too much back chat to the ref which our girls don't and i agree with Craigudy she is really close and has only been aloud to get away with it is because Irene steps in.
Hell YEH! to the question about where the support for our girls are! Man a TV ad here, a Newspaper ad there! SHOCKING! The ferns are our last chance of getting a WC title this year, get behind them NZ!

When you actually stop and just watch Liz Ellis( as we have done, in slow motion, on video) she is always too close. Its because she is the Skipper that she gets away with it, weak umpiring again. Our defenders dont get any where as close as she does and we get pinged. Thats a fact. They need to watch her. If she gets pulled up for her infringments, she wont have an impact on the game. Its simple, Irene is taller, if she is fed well (Adine and Laura-Bubby) its all over. And yes I do play Netball and play both shoot and defence.
We have the team to win, we just have to play simple straight forward Netball. I would bring in bubby in place of Seymour, she has had her day. Langman back to WD.
You might find that everyone is scared to get there hopes up after the Rugby dissappointment, thats why there is not alot of hype. They dont need the pressure from the public. They do how ever need to know the public is behind them.

| Adine is one the the best players in the silver ferns team,thats why she is captain! Remember you do need to have GOOD performing players around you to get a good team performance (which we don't have).As for Liz Ellis she is an amazing player she gives it everything(which a good player should do)we need players like her in our nz team.I do agree that some of the umpiring is a joke. Its 5 days till kick off and im still opening the paper to read about the ALL BLACKS where is the support for our girls ?? |

Yep, the ticket prices are criminal- having such high prices for the final matches is bad for the game- netball should be accessible to all, not just those with deep pockets. What about all those schoolgirls who were delighted to hear the world champs would be right on their doorsteps, only to discover they won't be able to afford a seat? Its awful to think people's support for netball might be dented because of such high prices. Still, $25 for a pool- play match is pretty reasonable (if only the final matches were as accessible)- lets hope we get a good turn-out, not just for the Ferns' games but for all those countries who have travelled such a long way just to compete. Also, fingers crossed for Langman, I can't begin to imagine how gutting it would be to put in all that work and have something like an injury jeopardise your chance to be a part of the champs.

Hmmmmm, So Adine is the only one in the team worth keeping eh? You dont perhaps live in the deep south do you? Well lets hope she pulls finger coz the rest of the Ferns obviously arent up to her standard. HA!!!! If anyone was to go it should be her. She has to play with the team, not her own game. Irene needs to be fed better, and whose job is that? Hmmmm? And as for the Aussies, if you like em so much maybe you should start supporting them.
Liz Ellis just gets away with alot, she aint that good. Get a good umpire watching her and she wouldnt be so great. |

| My sympathies go to Adine as she doesn't have the talented players surrounding her and playing the same type of game. She is a stunning player and her performances with Sting prove that. She is unfortunately in a team of hope-to-wins. Coaches dont know what they are doing. I watched Sydney Swifts v Melbourne Phoenix final in Sydney, Liz Ellis is back to her best and formidable. I was very impressed with her. Wish we had defences like Liz. Oh well thats what you get when the coaches dont have a clue!!! |

Hmmm,
In the headlines it reads...."Ticket prices no deterrent for fans". What a crock! $500.00 dollars is criminal i tell you! They are saying oh yup it's all sold and poeple are clamouring to buy the tickets, well...the website is contrary to that they are still selling tickets. Lower the prices on split them up at the very least and they will all go!!!!!!!! How unfair!

Yeah she does tend to loose it when things aint going her way. But she is hard, got an old head on her, good height, can dish out the dirt and is good on defence. The latter is something our other GA's could learn to do alot better. She plays right through to the defence quater, where the likes of Te Huna Dont do. And she drives well and works the base line better than the current two GA's.
Dont think we should use her, even if she made herself available, but the current two need to pick up their game and take a few leaves outta Donna's book.
Irene needs someone there that will atleast keep the GD busy, so she can take care of Liz(I dont know what 3 feet is)Ellis. |

Hmmm,
Well apart from the fact that she is a sooky bubba she has amazing skill and that never say die attitude! You cannot deny that she is rugged...although still a sooky!!!! and she is a pretty good shooter to boot so really it all speaks for itself doesn't it. She had a bonza season with the Sting this year working with Daneka Wipiiti.

Hi Guys,
Thanks Jodie and Chyemeihuang for leaving a message. I think i have to agree with you about the whole touring around thing and question whether or not this is a good idea. Lets debate that for a second. On the one hand it will tire our girls out, TRUE. There build up to the World Champs hasn't been as good as the Aussie's apparently, TRUE. More consideration needs to be given to the state of mind of the girls heading into the torunament, TRUE. So, maybe the tour around however quick will provide them with a bit of confidence when they see how much support they have well...heres hoping anyway. Hmmm Adine Wilson, yes she has a lot of flair and athleticism to her game but its a bit one dimensional in that she can only play one style she needs to dodge and cut and roll just to add a bit of variety is all. She hasn't been performing well at all i hope she has a better tournament than she has previously playing. I hope all goes well for them.

Hello all! I must say you all seem to be much more experienced in the ways of netball than me, so here's a few questions I'd love your opinions on! Firstly, I heard that the Ferns are touring round the country at the moment (or will be soon). Is this true? If so its great for the fans, but I'm not entirely sure its a good idea to be dragging our girls around on tour a couple of weeks out from the champs. No matter how used to travelling they are, Its gotta take it out of them, and you'd want to be in peak condition physically and mentally for the champs wouldn't you? That said, if they are touring I suppose it's good for them to be out and about, I guess we just have to trust that management and the girls know what they are doing! Secondly, what are your opinions on Adine Wilson as a captain and player? I have to admit I'm a little bit biased in asking- she is my fav player- when she is on her game she has so much flair and athleticism- but that's just me and I'd love to know what ou all think (be it good or bad!). And lastly- GO THE FERNS!!!
