| Well FINALLY she got it right! about damn time Ruth! I was also pleased to see Griffin get a run. She needs more court time though! I was a bit apprehensive about Bowden as i stated a couple of messages down regarding Bowden but she did okay after having to settle in! SHe threw some dumb passes and ran some really flat straight lines sometimes but got it sorted it in the end. Good one Bowden! props girl! |

D'arcy Waldegraves comments were justified at the time. The poms were beaten by 39 points in the 1st test. In rugby that's a hiding. In Netball, it's a massacre. The media and public always speculate and comment. It remains the coaches and players jobs to focus on the next game and not by into the hype.
Another spanking last night. Normal transmission has resumed. Although the inconsistency under Aitken is a concern. |

| As with the rugby, were we not just a bit TOO COPLACENT after a convincing victory? D'Arcy Waldegrave referred to them as a "so called English International team" on national radio and didn't give them half a chance before the 2nd test. And where's D'Arcy and his comments now? He'll probably wait and see if we win the last test before he comments... |

Man i love the discussion happening at the moment beautiful! Most people seem to share my opinion that Ruth stuffed it up BIG TIME! Positional changes aside what else do we need to do to beat England tomorrow night?
Mentor and Mkloma were spankin the other night! Tutaia and Van Dyk need to be on point! Definately put Van Dyk back to GS its where she plays best! Langman out at WA NOT Bowden! I have real issues with Bowden aye! Shes been in the team for about 3 or 4 years now and i don't think that she has developed enough! She came in as a second rate WA and she is still a second rate WA! She couldn't even beat out Langman for WA who is traditionally a WD....whats up with that? Griffin needs more court time in ANZ which she will hopefully have next year with the Pulse but she's been in the ferns for a bit now too!
What are you doing Ruth to develop the Bowden's and Griffins of the team. I get what you were trying to do the other night in giving the newbies court time but you made too many at once. And to me you should have recognised earlier that it wasn't working!!!!!! |

| It's an International game why on earth did Ruth not put the top 7 players on the court, fancy putting 2 Goal shoots together it was pretty obvious that it wasn't going to work then Ruth wakes up and takes Wapiti off (not consistent) finally but after the 3rd quarter (too late), she had a poor game as did Bowden. It should have been the top 7 then experiment if all going well. Ruth shouldn't be coach, she is terrible, her decisions are pretty poor and her selection of players is questionable as well. Watching that game on Wednesday the team certainly didn't look happy, probably all thinking that the best team should be starting. It's no wonder Australia beat us with this type of mind set from the coach. Poor Irene, was running around like a blue @#$% fly then expected to get the goals, while Wapiti hardly moved let alone get the goals. Time for a change of coach, if they don't win on Saturday Ruth should go. Plus she better have the best team starting!!!! |

| It's all good to play young players as good ole nz always play the old players till they drop dead and then a light switch turns on and then there is no one to fill the old players BUT you don't try combo's in a starting game (that is my opinion) we are out to win and in that level you can't aford to make bad calls. Yes its damned if you do and it's damned if you don't but thats what the job is when your a coach. In this call i feel it's the coach whose letting them down after all she is the one who puts the players on? Not having a go at you jostek just commenting. |

| The real shame from all of this, due to the poor decision to start with second string team... is that players like Bowden(who I have never really rated - and rate even less now), Wipeiti and Grant will have lost a lot of confidence! And as we all know from the 'Sting' - confidence is 50% of the game - if you believe you can win you are half way there. Always been Wipeiti's problem - not believing in herself. I think the formula of establishing a margin with your top line-up and then placing new players into the mix - is the best way to go - for all players!! Especially when you have the luxury of doing this - due to no injuries! |

| If you drop your starting line up for back ups you deserve to lose! Ruth made this mistake previously with this BS rotation business she picked up off the AB's. Any successful coach will tell you REGARDLESS of the sport is that you start your BEST players!!! I HATE NETBALL, BUT WHAT I HATE EVEN MORE IS WHEN ANY NZ TEAM LOSE DUE TO STUPID ERRORS MADE BY SO CALLED EXPERIENCED COACHES!!!... my apologies to you hardcore netaballers.. but thats my 2 cents |

| And when the changes didn't work, she left them on for the second quarter, and the shooters in the third quarter. Casey Williams was awesome as usual, and maria tutaia was good when she came on. I thought Maree Bowden didn't play her best, and Daneka Wipiiti doesn't take the ball strongly enough. |

| I strongly agree with you both. Ruth has made some bad decisions that i feel have affected the players on court. NO one plays a second rated team before your actual best team? The girls played good in the first test in the fourth quarter only because her best team put them in the position for Ruth to take from the bench but to play them in a starting game is a bad decision and then she expected her best team to try and make things right in the fourth quarter but it was too late by then!! Ruth needs to go they need new blood too many bad calls have been made from her can't the netball association see that? are we the only ones who can see? RUTH NEEDS TO GO? |

i think she was onto something giving Wipi'iti a run to start with, or even one of the others. But to throw out three new players, into a machine that was humming well enough during game 1, threw the whole balance out. 1 change, ok, 2, liveable, but 3 is too much. Gave a hungry England side the early advantage they were after.
