People are two quick to critisize the NSW camp. That NSW and queensland teams could be a kangaroo sides in them selfs and could rip a new ringer for any nrl team. Its just that one side had slightly more experience and determination.
But what exciting footy fella's, some would argue that origin is superior to even international intensity.
Now that the two sides have had a good look of whats to come, i see a bit more of a close encounter come game 2. |

Hayne unlucky not to get the first try.
inexperience shown amongst the newcomers to let slater get that try, which was once again just a few cm difference.
NSW don't really deserve to win this one, too many turn overs, not committed to the ball enough. That try to Thurston shouldn't have been scored, think it's Laffranchi who just stood there and watch when he's just 3m away. NSW just couldn't convert, they actually have more scoring chances. However, the defence was horrible.
Don't have any idea why bellamy didn't put up Wing earlier, he made a lot of differences running out from the dummy half. In contrast Farah had an average game. Hayne is dangerous as always. Two costly mistakes from Gidley, especially the one at the very end. Campese is hardly sighted, or that he didn't have much impact. Still prefer Monaghan than mcman-us who actually had the most number of slips in the game. Both Jenning and Lyon made a couple of breaks, but then again, couldn't convert into points. |
