hows things fia????
maybe and I dont really like saying this but it might be beneficial for Moon to spend 5 - 6 weeks in the Vulcans playing 5/8 and fine tuning the necessary skills and getting some confidence....bring Vince Mellars up from the Vulcans to cover the centres and move Hohaia to 5/8 with Stace at 1/2...just my thoughts as I dont know much. |

was watching some footage of warriors run to the final series in 2007. We certainly need some explosive backrowers that can heavily damage the opposition. Lauaki was excellent but too erratic, Fai was awesome but you know what happened. I was hoping for Tai to step up and become a major attacking weapon, but seems Cleary decided to slowly developing Muttelino to that role instead.
Great to see the warriors finally be able to field the same 17 for consecutive matches. A little bit of stability always helps. |

| di...welcome back!!!...dont forget that at the time of Moons signing I voiced my reservations that he was a 5/8 and have yet to see any evidence to suggest he is a 5/8...as I said at the time..."If the worlds best coach (Wayne Bennett) dosent run him at 5/8 when Lockyer is injured and preferred a 2nd rower what does that say about his ability at 5/8?".....I would love to see him do well there and be a distributor but as yet nothing. |

Interesting to see cleary play
Mattulino on the right hand side
during the last 20 minutes,
added a bit of impetus in attack,
similar to Sonny Fai out wide,
Mannering in the centres for me,
& wherever aj is,moon better start
to pull finger,im losing faith in him aj
bench is looking a possibility
esp if McKinnon returns,Lancey at 6
like fia suggested maybe?,
Like I said ages ago. |

agree warrust
in that ANZAAC test, hohaia only trained the day before the game. give him and stace a month together. worked once before didn't it? 2002 or something from memory. |

the last time i saw Hohaia at standoff is last year's Anzac test. Can't say that he had a good game back then, but he proved to be a class act if given enough time at one position.
Like I'd said before, barring injuries we want stability in our backs, especially in the halves combination. If the Jones-Hohaia combination is what Cleary is looking for, then stick with it. at least for a month before any alterations.
Sadly the combination of Fien-Moon didn't work out too well. Moon didn't have the space of a centre, and his ball handling is atrocious at this stage of the competition. |

| Good game and great comeback. Entertaining win once again for the warriors. Good thing too cause some of those faces I saw at halftime looked ready to leave the stadium. :-) |

| Although it's great to watch, seriously we cannot afford to be that many points behind against the melbourne storm. we will have to stamp our authority early in the match and continue the level of intensity shown in the 2nd half. my biggest concern is that since this one was a draining battle, that we might lose our focus against the next opposition. Remember the last time we had a great comeback win we got smashed in the next round. |

Tate is a huge loss no doubt.
Good to have Steve Price and the beast Vatuvei back
But the way Jones played today was absolutely brilliant, especially that Drop Goal ! the defence was sweating on him man, he took that drop goal so quick and nailed it
It'll be a huge confidence builder for the team. |

I think if Tate is out for the season, maybe they should consider Moon in the centres. He does have a great kicking game and can make line breaks. Yes I agree his distribution is not good enough to be a five-eighth. I reckon Hohaia should return to five-eighth where he first started with Jones at 7. Not really a big fan of Fien I think they should promote the next 6 or 7 from the Vulcans and have him as the reserve back.
The forward pack is ok good forward but unfortunately with Mannering, Lillyman, and Luck there are no ball playing backrowers. |

i am interesting to see when is Moon off the field.Other than a few long clearance kicks, he had been ordinary if not disappointing in the first half, especially that knock-on on the turnover ball when the rest of the team mates had done tremendously to force a tackle on the 6th for the roosters.
Now with McKinnon returning in the near future, I say drop Moon into the vulcans, Jones and Fien in the halves, and Hohaia on the bench. Ah-Van had played well in the centre today. Let Moon go back to the lower grade to hone his skill level at distribution. 6 line breaks, and 13 offloads, he sure top the club in those stats. But then at one of the most important one for a standoff, he got 0 at line break assists. |

now was that PURELY AWESOME or what?
Though not satisfied with the 2/4 goal kicking, Kemp had injected himself into the match a lot through his pure speed. He had forced a goal line drop out from the visitors and his crucial tackle that bundles parret into touch in the final stages of the game is pure phenomenal. It's great to see him finally establish himself into the game. Now just waiting for him to score a lot of tries.
And the little general, what a pure genius. 1 try, 2 try assists, and THAT golden point drop goal. Just shows his class above Fien(who cannot kick a goal from 20m out), and Moon(who kept dropping the effin ball). Nice hit up as well.
The BEAST, gee, what a return. A couple of errors at the start due to nerve, but his physical advantage is shown in those two tries down the left hand side. Don't think either Kemp nor Kirk can replicate what Manu had done in this match.
Great to see Hohaia back, though not possessing the speed of McKinnon, he still has the agile game within him. Awesome linebreak down his 10m line, and a great kick that result in the scrum to the warriors.
Ah-van played quite well in the centre, his height certainly helped to diffuse that bomb from the warriors.
Henderson back to his meter-stealing, penalty-milking game.
Luck....I say try beef up some more, still not strong enough to break the line, but kudos for the tackle work on the defensive end. He had like 50 tackles in this game which is very helpful for our cause in the 2nd half. |

| Either way, we can't always depend on our starting line up to get us over the line. if we want to win the GF, everyone including the bench and the bench's bench need to aim up and play 80min of Hard ASSSSSSSSSS Football. or we will probably just wimper into the 8 like last year. |
