guys don't worry. they do this every year. they'll play boring, predictable go-through-the-motions football for the next 10-13 weeks, with the odd sparked up performance thrown in, then rally with a late season flurry to make the playoffs.
a few weeks ago, some dipsh!t reporter in the sunday herald matched this team against the great 02 team. Most of this years team made it, including Joel Moon ahead of Motu Tony??WTF?!
it'll come good when we get to desperation stage. Strp yourselve in boys, the rollwercoaster ride is about to go around again. |

| Poor options alright, missing players I dont think is a valid excuse. They had enough good players to do the job, especially with possession and position all heavily favouring the Warriors. Jones got more and more predictable the longer they were camped in the Rabbitohs 20. We were watching the game and saying betcha Jones passes to whoever was standing next to him and then wraps around and he overdid that play to the max. Fien and Moon took some shocking options too. Game was there to be won but props to the rabbitohs defence, they repelled the warriors over and over again. |

well boys, didn't the warriors get a lesson on how to play 80min football.
How do you loose a game when you have all the possesion, all the field percentage and you're leading at half time by a descent margin in front of a packed mt smart stadium.
REASON: Poor Options, its easy to muscle up in defense when you try stupid moves when a majority of your players are open on one side but you go back to the traffic, bunnies weren't that flash we just took tonnes of poor options. we had plenty of troops out in the open all we had to do was spread it and we would be 20 + up BUT Moon, Fein, Stacey all poor decisions no one looking up and seing that there were massive gaps for the likes of our centres and wingers but we decide to go through the middle, where all the bunnies were waiting for us. unfortunately when you have a lot of play makers they can sometimes play like individuals and not as a team.
NEXT week we have the Knights at there home ground...here is a tip...warriors by at least 10....what!!...you may say...trust me and i have already tipped the buunies to loose to the bulldogs....cause again they are were not that flash. |

| Pi x ie I can't agree with you more!!! Several times he decides to go himself with dodgy kicks instead of passing it to Jones. I think he is trying too hard and probably a little peeved that Jones has taken his 7 jersey again. When Lance Hohaia is back he should taken Fien's place. Joel Moon needs to play like a five-eighth too and pass a bit more, he's been taking on the line too much and not looking at his outside men. |

| when is nathan fein leaving the warriors??? it cant come soon enough after todays performance!!! his kicking game is rubbish and decision making aint good either!!! that play in the final five minutes when we were attacking and he puts a kick into the in goal on the 4th tackle which goes dead and none of the players outside of him knew it was on......average.... i wouldnt have him in the squad next week, stacey jones kicking game is far superior |

we were dominating the third quarter without scoring until that opportunist try....still missing Manu's power and Hohaia's incisions. Speaking of which, Packer did extremely well in this match, he does not look out of place in the NRL now. In fact, his steamrolling runs can be a real attacking asset in the later rounds, combine with Price's experiences and Rapira's offloading abilities.
Good to see McKinnon got involved a lot more during attack, we need a lot more off-loads that we were so famous for in the last few seasons. The forwards had been too quiet except for the front rows. Lillyman is a decent ball runner from what i'd seen so far, but not a ball player. Mannering is honest player with a bit of footwork and speed. Luck only knows one way, but is not bulky enough for that style to be effective. Ukuma is still finding his feet at this level.
but the credit goes to the rabbits for their tremendous defence. guess we were just unlucky not able to finish them off without our strike weapons at our disposal. Anyway, how many held-ups and disallowed tries did we get in that match?
now let's see if Kemp can re-ignite his attacking form from last year in next week's match against newcastle. He hasn't been a major attacking components so far. Maybe that's due to the halves combination not settled in yet?
Kirk is a decent player, but i often had a suspicion that he does not possess the desired attributes to make it in the top grade. I hope he proves me wrong, but he need to step up as well. Not much can be said about Ah-van at this point. |

Nothing wrong with the attack dude just couldn't finish.
It actually was a good game for the warriors just wasn't their day. It was going to be a big effort for the boys to get over the rabbits with alot of key injurys.
And yes its only round four plenty of time, 2/4 still 50% ok. I can see them beating Newcastle next week.
Heads High guys. |

I think that was the most pathetic attacking display Ive seen from the warriors for a long long time.
I cant see many teams worried with the warriors forwards until they start off loading.
To score no points against the rabbits in one half is just utter sh!t |

Half-time stats Bunnies have made 187 tackles
Warriors only 124 tackles
Warriors should win this one |

With Steve Price out for the Rabbitohs game. It makes things even more challenging. Rabbitohs are looking sharp this year and they beat the Warriors in both games last year.
I'm still backing the Warriors though, plus they are dedicating this game to Sonny Fai, and it's also Nathen Fiens 100th game. Boys should get up for this one |

still waiting for McKinnon to get back to his explosive best on the paddock. It would be awesome if Jones can link up with him to create some good tries in the near future like the partnership with Webb before. McKinnon in the team for the fact that he's an awesome support play expert. We need players like Packer and Rapira to step up and give out some nice offloads for McKinnon to run on to. He had been too quiet in the last 3 rounds. guess too many new boys don't help with the combination.
Ukuma had improved a lot in the last round, let's see if he can get another one level better this weekend.
Think it will be an expansive game which would be good to watch. |
