Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
OK yip rabbitohs are definately not the same team as they were 10 years ago. When I say havent seen anything different, I'm only talking about say the last 3 seasons where as you say they have knocked of big teams that were normally no chance of beating but the following week lose a team below them, that has happened in the first 3 rounds already, same issue Warriors had for a while.

Anyway should be kickass game of league, plenty of Kiwi's running around. Sonny Fai tribute, makes for a good nights entertainment at MT Smart

GO THE WARRIORS!!!!

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
will need to have the little guys running off the big boys, 'thwough the middle' as Wopo says. Stace was off the shoulder a lot last week but the boys weren't able to/weren't looking to offload.
Agree with mt, it's only round four and we've lost 1 game. Moon will take time to develop into a real standoff. He still looks like a centre who's moved in, looking for himself 1st then to create for his outsides if nothing on for him. We will be top 4. The positive about these guys being injured now is that come finals time, they're not quite as run down as those whove been playing 26 rounds of smashmouth football.
Still the warriors year in '09
Keep the faith...remember Sonny Fai, the spirit behind the warriors this year.

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
I disagree the rabbitoh's have been the worst team over the last 10 years, its not the same old rabbits this year..the last couple of years they have been stating to beat teams the they would have had no hope with in the past and now they have the signings to be a competitive team.

Im struggling to see how the warriors will contain the rabbits little men ,luke, sandow ect

Disagree about the same old bunnies brilliant one week not so good the next...havent seen anything different from that this year from them. Not saying the Warriors havent got their work cut out for them at all, the rabbitohs are a good team WHEN they are on their game

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
People people,

The warriors have been in the NRL since 1995 and bar certain periods we have always wimpered into the top 8. Thats how good this club has been.

In 2009 we have the best depth and recruting in a very long time. Yes there are injuries but this is only round 4 of 26 rounds people, anything can happen.

Our depth will be tested this weekend, i agree with some of you that we may loose this Sunday purely cause we are missing more then just players, we miss leadership. But even if we loose, its only round 4 of 26 rounds. Other teams have far worse situations then we have, just look at manly or storm.

remeber manly lost ther first 3 games last year and then wopped storm 40 - zip in the GF. this year manly are gonesky as far as im concerned, they are facing a year of controversy both on the field and more so in there board room which always affects the team long term.

As for our Warriors, we will make the Top 4 Gaurantee it, Our loss was only because we played poorly, broncoes just played more "mistake free" football.

This sunday as i said will be an even a tougher game given the rabbits have pretty much a full strength team where as we are using our depth. i am hoping to be wrong but rabbits may be too strong for us this week.

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
Price is out insider, Tate, Mattulino, Hohaia, Tuimavave, Vatuvei as well. 2 Ozzy and QLD reps, 3 from the world cup winning Kiwis. Its just not about the amount of injuries, its the quality of these injured players. Real concern for the warriors at this point BUT keep the faith, I still reckon they can take the bunnies this weekend.

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
The reality is that we don't know the full extent of the Warriors depth, because like someone said earlier we have several new faces in the team and we're only 3 games into the season out of 26rounds + finals. more often than not the team that wins the comp has relatively no major injury scares through out the season.

At least we haven't lost Captain courages Steven Price and others like we did last year, for a large part of the season.

I've seen the Warrior hit much harder by injuries, and with less depth in the squad, like last season for example. But yet we still managed to make the semis last season. (keep the faith)

.....and if there's one thing I know is that the Warriors have been running hot preseason

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
Its more the frustration of all the bad luck we have, im not dogging the boys just stating the obvious.

I like to look at things as they are, and in all honesty its not looking good.

The warriors need a reasonably hassle free season where the can field a winning team week in and out, the past has shown that if we have problems we sink. Just looking at the facts.

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
still early in the season. It's the best way to deeply examine our depth and let the new boys to have a go before the business end of the season. Tate's injury is very unfortunate but that's part of the unpredictability on the footy field. Hopefully Ah van can take his chances like Hohaia took his in the '08 and seriously challenges Tate's spot next year.

and please don't say failed season after only 3 rounds. that just shows your lack of confidence in other boys in the squad.

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
well there goes the warriors for this season. Im speechless as to how something always seems to f@#k our season up!!! If it aint injury its suspension if it aint suspension it have comp points taken, and when we do get a break the stupid aussie ref's tear us a new ringer wuth there cruddy calls.

All is not lost, but it looking like another failed warriors season.

Is it just me or is anyone else rotten about it..?

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
I think the Manly game took a sh!t load out of the warriors physically. After watching the first 10 minutes you could see how flat they were.
Not to worry though, after a 8 day turnaround this week it should be a decent 28 point win to the warriors over the rabbits. Fingers crossed for a dry track

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
oh well first loss....no panic needed....I think it was a combination of a few things and not least of all they may have started to believe some of the hype that is being printed and how they are favourites for the comp.....Cleary now has the job of getting them up for the Bunnies....which shouldnt be hard considering the circumstances.....KEEP THE FAITH.

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
Strom1, when will you learn, can you just stick to supporting your team to beat the cowboys don't worry about us.....

we are winning this saturday, all the tips from aussie and footy show boys all picked us, TAB both here and aussie pick us to win, punters have all put there money on the men in Black. and little o'l you say otherwise, entitled to it but you were wrong about manly and they are a better team then the broncoes.

Listen even i have picked the storm to beat the cowboys.thats where you need to thread your tips, get it right will ya, ya been on this thread long enough to at least get the facts right and that the warriors are in hot form and even you can't deny that!!
