spot on the money, what's missing from the warriors is what melbourne has in bucketloads, three things
1) Hard work ethic
2) Tough mentality
3) A club that squeezes every ounce of quality out of each individual for the team cause |

continued... Ivan is to dry and is in his head. He rev'd the team up and got stuck into them I hear twice this year at half time. Bellamy gives it to his players even when they are 12 ahead on the board at halftime. Fire in the belly is what is needed. When the Warriors are fired up like the days of old... sure they promoted the ball a bit much but at least the were doing more than just kicking to Manu. Warriors rely on Manu too much. Ropati has had a confidence issue for two years now.... his handling is bad.... yet Ivan's dropped him once for a few weeks. I've seen better ball handling from teams in the lower grades here in Lower Hutt. Iro should move in. Ivan step aside... accept the deal for 2 years you got is more than you deserve and move on.
6. I can blame the coach etc.... but end of the day... to play in the NRL is a priviledge and the players need to turn up each week.... your coach "Ivan" ain't going to inspire you so do it for yourself. Look at the fire in Locke..... you could learn from his vibe.... I hope the club doesn't knock the good attitude out of Locke.

Real let down year for the Warriors for sure. I have to agree with the last email about Parra playing and making something out of nothing but belief.
1. Warriors attack was so slow out of the blocks this year, with little support players running by the attacking player. Slow, slow, slow and very predictable.
2. Bad play optons.... in fact were there any? Get it to the other end and kick to Manu.... is that all.... apparently so...which brings me to being "predictable" again. Ivan and the attacking coach need to be fired. It about results, not who you like and the Warriors didn't offer anything in attack.
3. F'kn ball handling.... what is it when players join the Warrior that their ball handling gets worse. Put frickin glue on there hands like all the other teams out there.
4. Most of the players Ivan has dropped over the passed 2 years?.... well... we sucked at kicking this year...
Michael Witt was good. He had two bad games and then he was dropped and now plays z grade rugby in Invercargill or something.
Cooper Vuna was dropped and not properly developed by Ivan and went to Newcastle and has been a true champion in attack and defence.
Nathan Fien.... has been the best half/hookers for the Warriors over the past few years... not to forget the Kiwis and Ivan turned his back on him and he went on to play well as usual for St George.
Denan Kemp... was a trooper for the broncos... because the have a structure and fed the ball to him and his job as a winger was to score tries and he did. Now Ivan drops him because he's not scoring tries, yet he was fed the ball hardly all year. How can you place the blame on Kemp when the teams not even building a platform to et it wide.
I could go on..... they left Evarn out for too long... he's always be a good impact on the field....but I can dropped him for most the season until it was too late.
5. Ivan... doesnt have an ounch of emotion to inspire the players. Ruben used to do that for the team. |

promoting the ball , attacking the flanks always backing up , tries from anywhere out of nothing

A few adjustments in the coaching department as of late
Tony Iro has moved up to be asisstant coach of the Warriors NRL side while Jon Ackland is set to coach the Warriors Juniors in 2010.
Could this be the first steps in a changing of the guard in terms of Cleary as coach? Only time will tell. |
