i think were safe from the spoon were 4 points up from the chooks we should beat the raiders so we will finish with twenty points this year should be enough to avoid the soup stirrer

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
well i guess all we can play for is pride and our first port of call is "avoid getting the wooden spoon for 2009"

Good time to build for 2010 and get some new players a chance to play in first grade.

if im the coach i swap the top team with the under 20's at least they some hope of playing in the finals.

Go Warriors 20's for 2009

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
this round's team selection has a very interesting look about it. First of all, both Locke and Brown playing in their favourite positions. Taylor in for out-of-sort Ropati, partnering with Ah-Van, and good luck to him. Ta'ai in for more experiences at the top level at the expense of Henderson, with Brown shift to hooker.
The most interesting thing is the selection of Heremaia over John at standoff. Now I don't quite get Cleary here. I thought it would be best to let John to have more time at the top level so there will be more half back stock for next year. Heremaia had a lot of chances and he hasn't been flash whereas John only had 3 games so far. Granted it's a new position for Heremaia and he may do better there, but what message does that send to John? Even if before his debut Cleary said that John is not a miracle hope, I still believe he can be better with more experience at the NRL level.

Anyway, hopefully the Warriors can take care of the Titans and finish the season on a high.

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
Most boring Warriors team ever.

Ropati is a pretty smart boy. He plays well enough to get resigned for 3 or so years and then decides not to play anymore. Way to go.

So the Warriors haven't had a good year.

Doesn't worry me, they'll be back bigger & better
and hopefully fitter next season.

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
Ropati is very average and that forced pass to locke which went to ground sparked of Penriths comeback.Ropati is running and defending like a player in his mid 30's his work rate just looks like such an effort. He needs to put his hand up and lead the way in that backline cause those centres in the junior Warriors look to have more fight in them than he does.....GO WARRIORS,KEEP THE FAITH

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
speaking of which, how was Locke's goal kicking tonight? Absolutely beautiful I'd have to say. First time I am really satisfied with the goal kicking department this year.
Still not like in one instance the team receive a penalty and takes ages conferencing which ends up choosing to take a slow-ish tap.

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
let's just hope the warriors show the same passion and intensity as in the first 50min of this match again next week. Granted it's sad to see the game slip away like that, but good to see some boys finally had a chance to have a go at the attack.
but seriously, 4 for moon? now that's unexpected

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
Ivans determination to absolutely tear the warriors halves in two has been successfull. All you need to do is buy a 1978 jones and some cheap aussie import spares and you have the ingredients for anticlimax cake, much like the warriors preseason hype. There attack is as inspirational as watching paint dry and seem to be completely out of steam and ideas in every area of there game. Look for the rest of their season to be as un-emotional as ivans sideline comments.
With nothing to play for i cant see anyway for the "worriers" to find a win at CUA .

Re:Go Warriors! Reply to this message
Yep same here, I'll support the Warriors win or lose too. They have been more than a little disappointing this year, and all teams have bad periods. It'll be interesting to see which players join the club next season.
I think Cleary deserves another chance too
