No excuses for the performance against the poms

Kiwis just failed to show up, the poms excecuted their game plan much better, held their intensity for the whole 80, ref was average but hey, no complaints, just weren't good enough, dissapointing exit for sure

Re:Kiwis Reply to this message
one of the bizarre calls come against us. ie. the soliola "knock-on" when the ball is travelling backward the whole time. I have no idea what this ref was up to. Also in the first half he lets two tackle in the air go, let the poms slow down the ruck too much (though our boys didn't show quite enough urgency to get up). That transgressed to jersey pulling and holding down tacklers in the ruck, becoming a total mess.

and i just hope Kearney admits his mistake in fielding Foran ahead of Inu. Not doing Foran's confident any good either by pulling him out in the late stages. The only two incidences i see is the simple draw and pass for Goodwin's try and that terrible read on defence for pom's third try.

That being said, the intensity in the forward is simply not there, though not helped by ref allowing a slow play the ball and allowing the poms to rush up early so many times.

Re:Kiwis Reply to this message
Was there rain before the game? there were a lot of handling errors from the boys which wasn't there in the opening game.

but i agree with the commentator, the ref's decision is most of the times very confusing. I thought an Australian ref is suppose to officiate the "semi final" between England and NZ?

Re:Kiwis Reply to this message
well done to the poms. wasn't easy for them to come up against the world champions. But they did and managed a historic victory for themselves against the greatest team to evey take the field.

I feel for the aussies. They could only manage a draw against our amazing forwards and sleek outside backs. they threw all of tasmania at our line and come up will NOTHING!!

poor Oz only just pulling off a win against a rusty english team and really not putting enough points on against the french.

The ozzies will have to really play out of their skins to take the odds to the poms..who are the only team to take down the great world champion KIWIS in the four nations

Re:Kiwis Reply to this message
yeh i agree with 69lover also i reckon sia soliola should be dropped he always makes costly mistakes. watch all the games he plays for the kiwis he always makes mistakes at the wrong time. but yeh inu should have started. we didnt really have any attack at all from the left side

"New Zealand Kiwis
RUGBY LEAGUE LOSERSSSSSSSSS
HOW SWEET DOES THAT SOUND?????? HAHAHAHAAHA!!!!!!!!!

INGLIS SEASON!!!
STORM SEASON!!!!
AUSTRALIA'S SEASON!!!!!!!!!"

The man who always answers no is still right half the time.

Sitting around making claims the NZ will lose every game isn't going to make any of us say "Well, you were right" when we do lose.

I look forward to the Aussie/England game and hope England bring it just as hard to the Aussies. Ahhh how sweet would that irony taste if Aussie flunked to England.

Hard luck boys. Only caught the second half, was watching the AB's.

Wouldn't celebrate too early Inglis......you still have one more match to play.

Re:Kiwis Reply to this message
I thought that the Kiwis would struggle this week when they selected Foran instead of Inu. I'm sorry but Foran is a 6 or 7 and no centre. Also Nightingale not getting a game is a bit strange also.

Foran will do us proud,he's proven for manly that when you give him a task he goes all out to achieve that and the kiwis vs the english will be no different.

I just hope Foran can do the jersey proud and justify his inclusion over Inu with a strong match against England.

Re:Kiwis Reply to this message
For sure, Inu's form during the eels run to the finals was fantastic,

It will be a fascinating battle indeed, the english usually play well at home against the Kiwis, I think it will be alot more closer then people expect it to be.

Re:Kiwis Reply to this message
Nah Inu's not injured...apparantly he's chomping at the bit to play.

Nothing against Foran...the boy can play, but Inu's form for Parra on their run to the final was strong.

Either way Kiwis to win comfortably 13+

Re:Kiwis Reply to this message
I was thinking along the lines of outl4w78

I'm not sure why Kearney hasn't named Krisnan Inu at centre as well to be frank, is he carrying an injury perhaps?

Good bench

Luke. Nuuausala. Hargreaves. Matulino.

Go Kiwis!

Re:Kiwis Reply to this message
Prior to this years origin series Jamie lyon was injured for a couple of games for manly, Chris bailey was at standoff and Kieran foran was in the centres alongside Matai, Foran actually played quite well, I wouldn't be too fussed if coach kearney plays Foran at centre because he has tonnes of speed and creativeness
Even with the loss of Eastwood, that's a fairly formidable Kiwis forward pack.
Who knows, he may even give Warriors Kevin locke a go off the bench, start Nuuasala in the second row and Soliola to the centres?
