the the hell is Thomas Leuluai make the squad, he was mud at the world cup, don't know why kearney still persists with this guy. it time to build for the next world cup in 2013 put the likes of kieran foran in the halfs and hooker roles. lance hohia, he was also mud this year, he's s vertan and should really lead this yeras 4 nations.

Team announced for the match against Tonga:
Lance Hohaia, Bryson Goodwin, Steve Matai, Junior Sau, Sam Perrett, Benji Marshall (capt) Nathan Fien, Jeff Lima, Issac Luke, Frank-Paul Nuuausala, Bronson Harrison, Frank Pritchard, Greg Eastwood.
Interchange: Thomas Leuluai, Iosia Soliola, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Adam Blair.
So there're 4 new caps in this team. I totally agree with the decision to rest Moimoi after that stellar performance he put in in the Grand Final. Will be interesting to see how both Sau and Goodwin go in the black jersey.
putting master offloader Harrison with the charger Pritchard in the 2nd row just presents loads of attacking opportunity for us, cemented by the presence skillful Eastwood at lock.
This match might not be a good indicator to show how will the boys fair in the tournament, but it's a good way for those 4 new caps to show their skill and fight for a place for the match against the aussies.
Go the Kiwis! |

| There is just so much ????? out there that I wouldn't rule out any of the 'new caps' playing against Oz. One only has to look at cricket, netball and basketball to see NZers dropping all over the place with hamstring injuries. And this is just one of the many things that can ruin a players selection. LOoks like a great squad though. |

No Ben Roberts, thought he might have made the squad. Matulino must have made the squad on potential cos his form this year has been sh!t. Other than that, no suprises, mean as looking forward pack, Moimoi, Blair, Eastwood, Pritchard, Lima, Harrison.
If we are to beat the Aussies, we need this forward pack to dominate which they definately have the potential to do. |

The following players had been named in 23-man kiwi squad for the 4 Nations tournament between NZ, AUS, ENG and France.:
Adam Blair
Greg Eastwood
Nathan Fien
Kieran Foran *
Bryson Goodwin *
Bronson Harrison
Lance Hohaia
Krisnan Inu
Thomas Leuluai
Jeff Lima
Kevin Locke *
Issac Luke
Benji Marshall
Steve Matai
Ben Matulino *
Fuifui Moimoi
Jason Nightingale
Frank-Paul Nuuausala *
Sam Perrett
Frank Pritchard
Junior Sau *
Iosia Soliola
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves *
*=Newcaps
I cannot see any of the new caps gets a game against Australia except possibly for Goodwin(due to injury to Vatuvei and Tuiaki), unless they shift Inu to wing and put in Sau.
Though it's possible that Kearney would want to try out a few combinations in the game before that. Possibly Locke and WH might get game time then. If thing goes well, some of the new caps might even get a game against France. |
