are the warrriors cheating? the storm have some brilliant players and do some amazing things, but take your blinkers off and watch what they do to the players on the ground when they've made a tackle. It dangerous and illegal. I suppose my issue with it is that the officials allow them to get away with something so blatant. |

Yep - your right teams on top always get called cheats nothing new there.
It's what the storm have been doing in the game that is the prob as I see it anyway.. back in the day when the biff was loud and proud.. the storm would have had their players being knocked out all over the show.
Now they employ these tactics and because opposing players are too scared of lengthy suspension if they retaliate, the storm get away with very suspect if not highly dangerous techniques. The opposition then need to leave it too the refs to protect them and the refs aren't doing that.
The only solution is to bring back the biff! Just go ask Nathan Brown... |

well as far as the poly boyz go mason really lets the team down.. think even brad drew could make him cry.
aussies have got some fighters though, no doubt like neville costigan, justin hodges, gordan tallis , carl webb and hate to say it anthony mundene. no matter what he could kick a.s.s .. always pissed off that him and monty didnt square off ( maybe they did and i missed it) |

They played a very clever game against the Roosters. kept going wide early to get around the chooks compressed rushing defence. The amazing thing was that the roosters didn't adjust at all at half time and the same tactics worked in the 2nd half. Smart team. Smart coach.
What the hell does Willie Mason offer to a team? Those conditions were ideal for a big man with pace to bust through the middle.. the guy contributes nothing but headlines.
Warriors tactics for Sunday. 1st grapple or crusher, Steve Price complain to the ref. 2nd time, call a cattledog and grab anyone in a storm jersey. |

just goes to show,god may give you great talent but that dont mean your gunna be a great person aye.
he might need to get away from the raiders ( bad for me ) get a fresh start and maybe start to get the point that off field does impact on the field. |

Typical, the player (Slater), proves he is bigger than the game and only gets a week because he claims provocation by another player head butting him 3 times. The NRL has pinged many players for 6-8 weeks for the same offence, running in and getting involved, yet he is still in line to get the Dally M medal! If it had happened 5 weeks out from a test between the Kiwis & Kangeroos and a Kiwi had done the same thing...6 week ban.
I agree Slater is a class act but he's reckless at times, this just proves it.
The Storm push their luck in areas of the game they believe they can, just like any team in any code does, but until they get penalised for those infractions they'll continue to do it.
So don't blame the players, it's the officials who need the rev up.
I just hope the Warriors don't believe that because Slater isn't playing it'll be any easier, the Storm are quality across the park.
It'll be a close run thing, Warriors by 2, if they play to their best. |

Slater gets one week for racing in from fullback and throwing punches (albeit weak-ass pooftah fullback ones) against a guy who was restrained by two Storm forwards. Does the NRL not realise that this injustice has robbed the Warriors fans of the delight in watching Slater being used as a doormat by Sonny Fai on his way to the line??? |

come on now the storm can/will get away with everything, i watched the storm/raiders game and bugger me if the raiders got pinged for the grapple twice and yet the storm did basically whatever the hell they wanted.
the sook in me says that its all because they want the nrl to get more dominant in victora so they will make sure they will see them into as many finals as possible.
by the way mick waymen got six weeks for striking beat ya billy the kid get a kiss and a cuddle.

Mate, I don't have a problem with the biff. It's the choking and potential neck damage from the grapple, and concussion from blindside high shots which concern me. The NRL last year made it illegal, now they're allowed to do it.
Hitting a guy in the head with your elbow/forearm while he's not prepared isn't hard, it's gutless. That's Crokers forte. |
