What this says to me is that the KIWIS USED these boys.
I feel sorry for Moimoi and Tuiaki. I thought Moimoi would have had the inside running ahead of Tuimavave after LIMA was ruled out. But not to be.
Hard luck TONGANS. Samoa will beat Tonga now after this decision.

The Rugby League International Federation (RLIF) Executive last night approved applications from four players to change their ‘country of election’ for the 2008 World Cup.
With the tournament’s Opening Ceremony at the Sydney Football Stadium just 16 days away, Ben Roberts has been cleared to play for Samoa, Jarryd Hayne for Fiji and both Louis Anderson and Antonio Kaufusi for Tonga.
Under RLIF rules, players who are eligible to play for more than one country must elect which country they will represent.
Once this has been done, a player may not change his election until the completion of the next World Cup, or after having not represented that country for two years.
A player is allowed only one application under this rule in any two-year period.
In 2007 the RLIF Executive had approved applications from both Moimoi and Tuiaki to change their ‘country of election’ from Tonga to New Zealand. This was approved and each played for the Kiwis in last year’s tour of England and France.
A separate application from the two players was also tabled last night seeking to change their election a second time to again be available for Tonga for the 2008 World Cup.
This application was rejected.

| not disagreeing with that.....but then why not select him in the first place.....the ARL are turning the WC into a farce by doing this....they should of dragged a player from the squad of 46 that is not now playing for another country due to the fact that Aussie didnt want him in the first place....and we will see about the other 2. |

| why wouldnt the Aussies let Tupou stay in the Tongan team? Do they not have anyone else that can replace CRo*er? They will probably block Tuiaki and Moimoi from playing for Tonga as well. |
