Re:NRL Reply to this message
d13, true bro thats why i asked what the criteria was, it seems its missing alot of the great's ? for whatever reason

agree hunt is a pharken amazing player that has always played at 100 miles an hour. wont forget the origin game were he had a death wish in the tackles, bloody awesome..

too me south pacific means anyone born in the pacific regardless of race, because at the end of the day most boys have a little of something else throwin in along the way.

Re:NRL Reply to this message
gotta go Karmichael at fullback
thats not to make the team look glossy
hes got balls,str8 up the nut hardout
began NRL career at 17,hes now 23
ousted Locky from fullback into standoff,
NRL Title 06',3 origin series wins in a row
i like his kamikaze style, but hes learning that
style dont last in NRL,hes adapted,
i like Hunt,good player
Hugh Mcgahan was a golden boot,it was either
he or Kearny on the bench,i went with McGahan

Re:NRL Reply to this message
deejay,

I'll substitute Jim Dymock for Jennings
although i like jennings blistering speed
dymock did rep aus & played well, title with the dogs in 95'
+ a Rugby League world cup 95',so i'll have him on the bench

m-fams,
forgot Lauititi,i'd put him in over
kurt sorensen as my power forward, with the basketball
skills,Ali was the man

nagas is an abo hardout, ran similar to peachey
heads up on meninga someone?
,whats his nationality?i thought
he was an abo too?

Re:NRL Reply to this message
wouldnt have sbw in the any list, he was good but he wasnt around long enough. he also turned his back on the game..

nagas was always a better winger than fullback, and how the list didnt have tallis or meninga is beyond me?

Re:NRL Reply to this message
It doesnt mention anything about selection criteria. But its an impressive team. Bit of the old school and current players in there. Another interesting article in leaguehq I just found, bit about the history of polynesians in the competition.

agree with aj,storm can have him...

scored the winning try against storm, after it
was setup by Manu & Ropati,I remember manly
dealing to witt in the gf qualifier, witt aint no big loss
to me,good riddance,about time they
saw my logic & got rid of 1 dimensional players, always
said about witt,great goalkicker,useless playmaker.

Something of interest...

The pick of the Pacific
Andrew Stevenson | March 5, 2009 - 3:32PM

Rugby League historian, author and journalist Ian Heads has named his all-time Polynesian/Pacific team, made up of players who appeared in the NSW competition or NRL. Size, speed, skill, it's hard to imagine them being bested by many sides.

Is there anyone better he's overlooked?

Lote Tuqiri
Noa Nadruku
Israel Folau
Nigel Vagana
Jarryd Hayne
Olsen Filipaina
Stacey Jones
Sonny Bill Williams
Kurt Sorensen
Stephen Kearney
Petero Civoneciva
Issac Luke
Ruben Wiki (c)

BENCH
Dane Sorensen
Willie Mason
Apisai Toga
Fred Ah Kuoi

Football is world famous...in the world, eskimos have never ever heard of rugby. But they all crowd around the TV in their igloos to watch the real world cup!

Re:NRL Reply to this message
damn i was just checking the raiders line up for the 1st game.

if i can get away without injury to the whole of my starting line up like last year, i cant see why they think we are getting the spoon..

marc herbert and campese will work better than alright
got one of the biggest and most mobile forward packs
great centre's joel ( WORLD CUP WINNER ) and adrain
and most of all trevor thurling ( pharkin machine) and alan tounge, who is the best player EVER.

raiders will upset all but me and win the minor prem and the grand final.

Re:NRL Reply to this message
kind of sad to see one of our heroes in the 08 final series had to leave the club due to surplus of requirement. Hope he does well, but not too well especially when facing the warriors, over there.
