| Fabulous game from lockyer again tonight, all the brisbane superstars are in terrific form heading into the origin series and anzac tests, just getting back to the joel moon issue, I still believe he has yet to come to grips from being a centre for the broncos to a genuine playmaker at standoff for the warriors, the adjustment may be a bit too much for him after all that time of playing in lockyer's shadow without the added responsibility of being playmaker, interesting to see cleary take him off in the last quarter of last week's game to utilize the experience of nathan fien to add more structure around the middle, it worked a treat, joel moons biggest contribution is most probably his boomer left punt. |

| I agree with all that witt didn't have an explosive game but tell you what hes a dam better kicker and director than moon. And his boot was second to none even though he does look like a show pony when he kicks. |

| Greg, moon is taking more then a backseat, he be on the bench permanently the way he's playing, michael witt may have not been so bad after all, joel moon's got no attack in his game bro, he's clueless on attack |

| Lockyer is a fabulous passer of the ball, absolute bullet like torpedo passes that are always spot on the mark, I must admit joel moon is pushing my patience button I tell you, maybe this heremaia kid is worth a punt, I highly doubt it, but joel moon is taking too much of a backseat to jones I feel, I feel that, as a standoff he should be looking to control things a bit more then he is |

on the fien issue, maybe we are just placing too much pressure on his performance now that we got the little general to compare him with. Not counting the fact that some of us are willing to look past some mistakes Jones did during a match just because he's such a legend in the club.
Moon really need to learn to distribute the balls more efficiently. He's a good runner, yes. He's a long kicker of the ball, yes. But he's not yet the standoff we wanted without a decent level of skill to put the centres/wingers into space. Why is Lockyer considered to be the best number 6 in the game right now(sorry boson) is that he got awesome passes that just put people into space. Just look at the one against the warriors that result in a try to Glenn. Don't think Moon had produce any of those kind of passes yet, though I could be wrong and miss out on one or two of them. But he's getting there, i sincerely hope so. If he want to develop into a running standoff first at least he would need to cut down on the number of drop balls.
If still no sign of improvement, maybe push him out one spot and leave Fien at no.6, give him security in the line-up and use Hohaia as an impact player. |

| fia...if my memory serves me well I think it was 7 games for 1 try before moving to the Sharkies....still could be a handy fill in before they finally realise Moon isnt a 5/8 and push him out wider and give Hohaia the #6 jersey....once again just my thoughts. |

aj, you speak too much sense. Mellars played 3 games for the warriors under the anderson reign, aidan kirk would have to be hit by a bus before cleary replaces him. even then he'd probably wait for the medics report before finally omitting him.
to be fair i'd be talking about wanting out if i was fien as well. he's obviously not rated.
as a side issue. did anyone else notice packer push moon away twice when he tried to congradulate him on scoring his try? |

Goodness, Is that right ajofbrisbane?
Vince mellars is quite a big guy, I didn't realise he was playing for the vulcans, I'm beginning to wonder if fien has maybe lost interest with all the hoopla surrounding stacey jones, plus the obvious calls for lance's return may have him thinking he may be on the outer so he's not pulling his weight? 5 rounds of sub par performances from a world champion is kind of worrying. |

| Heremaia could of been added to the bench to replace Fien....all the talk about him firstly going to the UK and now him coming out and saying how he would love to play for the Dragons under Wayne Bennett....maybe Cleary has had enough and will give his spot to Heremaia....heres a question....why not draft Vince Mellars from the Vulcans into the centres to replace Tate...he is big strong can tackle and will at least have a height advantage over the dwarf Kirk....just my thoughts. |

| I just had a read of that story in the yahoo xtra sports section, I think heremaia has been added to the 5 man bench but I doubt that he will get gametime, maybe just some experience for him much like o regan? I think if they were serious about playing heremaia they surely must have though about isacc john or liam foran as well, good to see manu and pricey back this week, kirk at centre is an interesting call, still doesn't wanna move moon aye? |

awesome, now both price and manu are back, hopefully we can see more structured and rewarding attacks coming from the warriors. Pity that McKinnon had to sit out of this one due to hamstring strain. Not sure about Ah-van's style at fullback yet, but he could surprise me in the weekend. Kirk move to the centres....could be a good move, but against soliola and sa i hope he can give out his 110% otherwise he will get smashed up badly.
Have you guys seen the new kid Aaron Heremaia play before? what's he like? and is it possible for Cleary to try to bring him into the warriors at the expense of Fien to bring more variety to the attack? or is it too soon to blood new comers since we just got the beast back, that Fien deserve another chance with the extra strike weapon at his disposal?
just want to see your thoughts on the new lineup, that's all |

I'm really impressed by russell packer, He's quite a big lump of a lad but is very mobile for his size
Ukuma tai is another to impress, A few handling issues against manly but has come on well
moon, kemp, lilyman, royal I think have still yet to showcase what they have |

| Jolly good game of footy today, unlucky warriors, rabbitohs looked a very slick oufit when in attack mode but also have a very good defensive screen, once again isacc luke proved to be a nemesis for the warriors, an opportunist try to talanoa to seal the game after some stoic defence, great effort I must say, young lads played well, packer, rapira, warriors just didn't have the finishing prowess of hohaia and vatuvei who are sorely missed by this side. |

It maybe so. They beat us twice last season at home when we did have price, tate, vatu vai, hohia you name them they were there. The first 20 mins will be interesting.
Its more that i know that the warriors have a good chance at reaching the GF. Its like owning the most expensive sports car of you dreams and not diving it cause you scared of crashing.
Makes it more enjoyable if they do beat the rabbits. |

Its a hard one to look at mannering. If we had moon at center who would we have a 6..? It could work with maybe jones at 6 fien 7 and henderson at 9 for the whole game..and forwards on the bench. When they take moon off the could replace him with ah van on the bench, just a thought probly be a bit hard on jones to play the hole 80 mins.
In saying that ah van has been quite good for us as a replacement in the last few years, hes good under the high ball. Hope his put on a bit of weight in the off season cause last i seen him i thought he was a bit to lanky for the centers, no weight to him. How much quality mins does he have in him..? |
