does cleary buy the players? if he does yes its his fault. or maybe he is the coach, because he toes the line and coaches with the shyte that the bosses want him to play with.

Re:New Zealand Warriors 2009 Reply to this message
absolutely agree with you on all fronts greg, getting rid of fien just goes to show how idiotic cleary really is, wayne bennett signed him to a 3 year deal with the dragons and I said at the time, what does a supercoach like bennett see in fien that a clueless coach like cleary doesn't?
bennett sees an ideal utlity around the dragons halves/hooker axis, now he can use soward, fien , dean young and ben hornby around the dummy, ruck area, why not bite the bullet and ask kearney to coach the warriors, he's a former warrior himself, it would be hard for him to turn it down, the rabbitohs are after him as well!!

No goalkicker ala hazem el masri, thurston

michael witt had an 80% strike rate last year and they get rid of him for meat head joel moon who can't seem to find his own feet let alone direct a footy team

the recruitment is pathetic, the management is abysmal

I say sack cleary, he's the most protected species amongst all the warriors and yet he's the most un-inspiring, emotionless, dare I say it, 'Brainless' coach we've ever had.

take a punt on jon ackland and tony iro or entice brian mclennan home to coach the warriors, cleary is useless.

Re:New Zealand Warriors 2009 Reply to this message
Lets sign cleary at the start of the year
instead of waiting for the year to pan out....
well theirs the first muck up.

mucking about with epalahame lauaki's contract and the
failure to attract greg eastwood or michael cro.cker to the club to add starch and impact to a lacklustre backrow

the failed recruits, denan kemp, jacob lilyman, joel moon and jesse royal- sack the lot of them

the world cup flops, rapira, hohaia, mannering, ropati, vatuvei and the injury prone tuimavave

the loss of world champion nathan fien for a slow and unimpressive stacey jones, now the garbage about the forwards not giving jones space is exactly that, garbage

the early season loss of brent tate and sonny fai was hugely damaging and dissapointing, all amounts to a hellish season and it's not even over yet.

you are right, the warriors should be aligned to a club this would make them answerable.all they do now is train, play then hide

Re:New Zealand Warriors 2009 Reply to this message
usually the warriors flatter to decieve and give false hope for the next season this year they are a joke.Stacey Jones should have stayed retired and Ivan Cleary's refusing to pay Nathan Fien is a disgrace,it looks like long suffering warriors fans will have to get used of the warriors struggling over the next few years.

KURA 32 Otahuhu 30 - YEYYAA!!

Yip you guys are top of the table but no longer looking unbeatable with 2 losses in a row, as long as we make the semi's - we're a chance

Anyway back on topic - Warriors should beat bulldogs this week, missing 2 of there best in Kimmorley and Ennis.

No good bagging Stacey he cant operate if the forwards dont do the yards.Slow ball is no good to anyone.Hohaia off the bench seems to lift and spark them into life

The only bright light to come from the warriors season so far is kevin locke, why not put shaun johnson in right now, what happened to liam foran or isacc john, stacey jones hasn't got it, why did they get rid of fien, I'm lost for answers.

Re:New Zealand Warriors 2009 Reply to this message
lol nxt_big_thing, We got the Leopards this week, come down to Kura and watch your team lose their first game...hahahaha

They were stupid for letting Fien go but he was obviously on the outer as he couldnt even make the bench ahead of Heremaia. The whole situation is bullsh!t but now we are stuck with Stacey so no choice but to back him, so hopefully he finds some form and gets us into the playoffs

Re:New Zealand Warriors 2009 Reply to this message
what i would do... is get on to jerseys.com.au and buy myself a brand new RAIDERS JERSEY.. i mean how good would you look. Go on Douglas Get A Perm, Live A Little.

some of you fans are funny. Warriors are in 11th with 15pnts, and you guys are bagging them.

Raiders are 13th i think with 14pnts and i'm happy with how my year has gone, with the bounce of the ball i could have won 3 other games.

KEEP THE FAITH.. lmao only when there winning aye.

Re:New Zealand Warriors 2009 Reply to this message
allright!! i am a massive warriors fan but its time to speak out,

first of all dazbolski you are a funny one champ i had a good chuckle reading you blog mate haha

this year has been a total let down for the boys, getting rid of witt sums it up for me.. but here is what i would do now... jones i love you and your great but your defence is shocking mate.. maybe the bench or left out is where he has to be, mckinnion i would be droping right away for locke, this kid is great and needs more ball and wade needs to get his mojo back. i would move moon to halfback because when he is in the halves he aint that bad, i would play that young likiliki from the 20's in the centre's with lewis brown or ropati now he named back in the team.. the forwards are going good but we do need some more attacking one's that dont knock it on

Re:New Zealand Warriors 2009 Reply to this message
what the fark is going on with these guys.... penalty right in front only 9 mins in and you take the kick and lose all the momentum... c'mon pricey, you didn't see prince call for the 2 when same thing happened to them 5 mins later, intercept passes... you throw 1 and then you don't do it again but noooo the warriors have to do it twice.... but i suppose when you have centres that can't put there wings into space what options are your halves left with??? kicking game has gone to shiite and wade mackinnon can start counting his days as a warrior if he doesn't find form, young locke would be sensational at fullback he doesn't get enough ball outwide and does an enormous amount of defence, would've been good to see him chase down the second intercept had he not slipped over... and lastly too many one dimensional players regarding our forwards, most teams have 2 or 3 forwards who play like backs we have one he is out of form at the mo,we already have a tackling machine in M.Luck so what was the brains in buying more defensive forwards??? especially when there not defending come game time!!!
