I don't know why they don't use Vatuvei more in attack.

good to see we got the win last night but im still not happy with out attacking plays, the passing is just soo slow and we are not really running on to the ball at any great speed! if you compare us to the broncos its like chalk and cheese the loook so good when the spin it wide, and yes the have some real stars but you could learn a lot, maybe we just dont have the right players

Re:New Zealand Warriors 2009 Reply to this message
Lets hope so, i mean we need to sort out our attack! Cleary instructed the boys to spin it to the centres then come back in against the grain after half time! This is and Stacys bombs are about our only attack! Come on Cleary! use Vatuvai close to the line, as nobody could stop him! Vary the attack and use the wingers instead of cutting back infield. One only had to watch the Bulldogs vs the Broncos to see how the wingers are supposed to be used.

at the current state we cannot relax and say the finals is ours for the taking just yet. We will need to sort out our mistakes, work on our attacks, during the bye weekend. Hopefully after that we can string more back to back victories to push our credential. Good win, but I would like to see more structured attack in the future rounds.

Re:New Zealand Warriors 2009 Reply to this message
typical Warriors ... just when you write them off ... they pull one out of the box ... now they can relax with the bye and maybe come back on a winning streak ... Hohaia is a GIANT and def. the Warriors 09 MVP ... and LOCKE the ROOKIE is leading the way ...

M8 I dont want to see moon again after hohia's preformance at 6. Man The defence was really on the money tonight. The refs we really bad tonight, gave the knights all the chances, but they never looked the goods at all. The knights played so average and any chances they got were from warriors mistakes. Jones up and down, still think hes a bench player. Heremaia can be ya best m8 one minute and you hate him the next, once he cuts his mistakes out he could be quite a useful player. OMG Drop royal dead weight i say useless. All the forwards stepped up like they needed to, real solid preformances from Mannering, vatuvai, price, ah van, mckinnion, and for me the players of the night are a draw between hohia, and locke, man that last try, hands! hands! dam the boys got good hands, glad hes on my fantasy team. Good game, good team, good night!! ive been on da piss after that one!!! yea haaa!!

Re:New Zealand Warriors 2009 Reply to this message
Hohaia apparently had a good match at no.6
Let Moon work on his standoff skills in the vulcans, just to sharpen up his skills, and ease his way back once he'd proven his worth from the injury.
still, our attack is not that sharp. Great defence though. Guess that can wait once we string together a few more wins. Still waiting for a back to back victories.

I think your missing the point faaitiiti6377. No one is comparing Moon to Fien as Moon is 6, Fien is 7. I think most people on this board would agree that Fien is good enough to make the bench as reserve ahead of Heremaia. If it were me I would be starting Fien and Jones would be on the bench.

Re:New Zealand Warriors 2009 Reply to this message
i reckon it was a good choice that they let go of fien...he makes more errors then moon does.give moon a chance,he just started this year.fien is a good player but is not consistant with his good plays.
