outl4w78 says...and I totally agree
"Fien should be on the bench as reserve hooker and halves backup - WHY is he so much on the outer at the moment"
"WATSUP IVAN???"
IMO, obviously cleary thinks local boy heremaia is better then a world cup winner?
Wayne bennett doesn't see it that way, why would a mastercoach like bennett sign fien to a 3 year deal, yet the warriors have him in the vulcans, it's a farce.
he should have given ropati, mannering, rapira and jones all time in the vulcans, let them sort all their bs out together. |

Lineup against the Knights -
Wade McKinnon, Kevin Locke, Patrick Ah Van, Simon Mannering, Manu Vatuvei, Lance Hohaia, Stacey Jones, Sam Rapira, Ian Henderson, Steve Price (c), Lewis Brown, Ben Matulino, Michael Luck.
Interchange: Aaron Heremaia, Russell Packer, Jesse Royal, Jacob Lillyman.
Good decision to start Hohaia in at 6 BUT if Fien is not the starting 7 and they insist on Jones, then Fien should be on the bench as reserve hooker and halves backup - WHY is he so much on the outer at the moment, WATSUP IVAN??? |

| wait for it!! warriors are going to drop MANU, due to the fact he is not scoring tries and NOT making stacey look good. hahaha i told you guys the last game jones played well that it was manu making him look good, i guess the task for the poor big guy to score all the tries and win all the games will take its toll, algud he will find a new home in canberra next year! |

Very frustarting aren't they?
You have to give credit to cronulla for a great team effort, I said prior to that game that you couldn't take
them lightly regardless of off field distractions
that was like a shark ambush, when things like that happen off field, it seems as though the players play better, that was exactly the case on sunday, just more enthusiasm, the youthful exuberance they showed, determination in defence, it hurt to watch and I must admit I am getting a tad nervous about our chances now, could be a case of pretenders not contenders this year?
It's looking more and more likely that way, here's hoping, barely keepin the faith!! |

Yes well you see what I mean
warriors were apparently in negotiations with eastwood's management for a long time yet didn't sign him, exactly,
missed out on croc.kers signature as well, imagine a menacing backrow of
-mannering
-croc.ker
-eastwood
that is a freakish back row
but I suppose it's just another example of their short comings as management or is it the fact that cleary hasn't got a clue as coach?
why has wayne bennett signed nathan fien to a three year deal, yet the warriors have him toiling away in reserve grade, that is unfathomable, players need time to build into a season and because of all the hoopla and expectation heaped on stacey jones, fien is the scapegoat for their woeful inept performances, ludicrous, I know fien has done some shoddy last play decisions in games, but jones are even worse, their laughable. |

to make up for our mediocre and thought less backrow
why didnt they sign michael cro.cker when they had the chance?
the bunnies nab him and hes straight back into origin,
a tough un compromising character with some x-factor and toughness, ntm premierships with the roosters and storm, why not think about that, the priceless mentality of winning premierships, that's why brent tate's early season loss was so vital for the warriors, outside the square cleary, wink wink dumb guy...
look at the only players performing with heart and passion
-mattulino
-packer
-locke
-ah van
all last years under 20 boys, at least their inspiring to watch, while all the others are playing like dead weight
manu is still doing some damage, lewis brown is making an impact, heremaia has to learn how to hold the ball,
basics, warriors, basics. |

It all starts at the top, the recruiters
hart the rugby guy, ackland, cleary.....
big recruits who I say have turned out to be 'duds'
kemp- now plying his trade for the vulcans
moon- a never was, a never will be
jones- run out of excuses for him
lilyman- his name says it all really
dissapointing-
rapira
ropati } all world champs playing sub-standard
mannering
all amounts to a lack lusture season at the halfway stage of the year, to make it even more dissapointing, cleary's reappointed while the warriors are in another shocking rut, this warrior management is 'bogus' to say the least. |

| yeah Jones made a mistake coming back and so did the coach for asking ... compare Jones to Mortimer for the Eels ... or any other half in the NRL and you can see he's okay but that's all ... but there are so many Warriors who are "okay but that's all" these days ... they just won against the Tigers but the game was a shocker for dropped balls and knock ons ... there are so many "stars in the making" who never make it in this curent team ... and despite all the noise about new signings and a full team sheet there is no one on their roster who even looks half-decent ... big problems there ... Warrior fans will be getting worryier and worryier |

not sure about dropping mannering, but he sure isn't the reliable ball carrier like he used to be at the moment. Ropati has to be dropped based on his horror performance. Moon i heard suffers from concussion so is probably out of the equation at least for next round. Stacey in my opinion is still an impact player. Hopefully ah van would be back to bring up some bulk on the right hand centre. Brown had a few shockers at the start but he is getting better.
Hohaia has to start the match, that's for sure. I know people kept calling him the "supersub", but he has shown to be a 80min footballer last year. |

| No, i think the stupidest thing was to run Sione Faumuina at standoff. Blind Freddie could see that would never work. Moon may need a couple of seasons in the centres before he is ready for six. |

I like your thinking. For this week only (presuming Moon is out) I may put Lance into centre where he played so well previously and give Daniel OReagan a shot at six, he looked Ok to me in the pre-season as long as he is fit and in reasonable form. Fein definitely back to half with Jones on the bench. Real problem in the centres with no Tate, Moon probably out (he is big and fast enough for centre), Ropati in horror form and Mannering looking tired. Kemp looks too small for the centres and Locke looks OK on the wing at present. MacKinnonn looks to be getting back to form so I would leave him at the back.
I hear Wiki is playing social rugby so perhaps an SOS to him and run him in the centres for a couple of weeks and look to blood another centre from the Vulcans or 20's but I am not convinced Bristow is the answer yet...anyone off contract...Sonny Bill?? |

I would re-instate Fien at half, start OReagan (but not sure of his form)at six. Lance would share six to back up Daniel if it does not go well and spell Henderson with the interchange.
Moon would be in the centres for this season, he looks out of his depth at the moment at standoff. Ropati would be rested for a while and I would rest Mannering also although he made some good outside breaks on Sunday. Lewis Brown, Matulino and Lillyman work the second row with Price, Rapira and Packer in the front until Tuimavave is ready, what a shame Sonny fai is not with us as at either centre or second row he would be quite handy right now. |

| Well, it aint rocket science. I dont know what Nathan Fien has done wrong, he was the Queensland origin halfback a few years ago and was the World Cup winning halfback recently. I am told that the Warriors consider him not good enough to win the NRL...Bollocks to that. When I watched the Anzac test all I saw was Benji trying too hard and being erratic but when Fien came on there was a pattern and some structure and the runners could predict support lines. Why do the Warriors not play people in the right positions? |

| I dont no why they dropped Henderson IMO he was making good metres from dummy half, i would bring him back. Also i agree Hohia has to start with Jones droping to the bench.Ropati has to be droped until he find some form as he has been real bad on attack and defence. Not only was our attack slow but what are the forwards doing? and where are the offloads?Cleary has to take the blame for this! i mean come on support the runners! Instead of our attack constanly running back in2 the middle of the ruck we should be getting the ball out to Manu especially close to the line.Stacy just seems intent to do the same bomb on the last tackle with no variation, i mean grubber, banana kick, chip something different we are to easy to read!I think its going to get a whole lot worse b4 it gets better aswell.Dissapoing with a big please explain from cleary. |

omg, jones looked lost. 2 times in the second half ( that i can remember ) he had the ball on the 5th and forgot he was the halfback..hahaha stacey bro! its your job to set the plays, not pass it to a forward to think of something, or give it to hohia who was waiting for the kick to go up..
not to mention his kicks lacked depth. manu couldnt do shyte when the ball only got to the 10, come on give manu a break , kick it atleast 5m out from the line. |

| Yes Johnson he has been real impressive for the junior warriors and he is pretty good with the boot too. Big changes have been called for and you have to look to the most under preforming area, in which case Joel moon comes into the spotlight. I really think they need to bring fein back into the equation stacey jones only makes a good impact player these days and theres only a certain amount of gas left in the tank for the little general. |
