Kinda hard to pick a team but give it it go, guarantee I'l forget some players lol
1 B Stewart - no brainer
2 Hayne - he'l make it
3 Monaghan - also got Lyon and even Jennings
4 Cooper - plenty of origin experience, he'l make it
5 Williams - If hes fit he'l make it, (Grothe/Quinn also possible Wingers)
Heaps of halves combos to pick from (Anasta/Barrett/Gidley/Pe arce/Orford/Soward) but I wanna see
6 Campese - awesome player give him a shot
7 Wallace - pretty cool customer always looks like he's got time, think him and Campese will make mean combo
8 Kite - definate for me, Mr go forward
9 Farrah - (or Ennis) either for me
10 Bailey - (C)
11 Watmough - another definate for me, tough AS!!!
12 Laffranchi - (Gallen or Hindmarsh)
13 G Stewart - ( Is Meteo eligible?? if he is I would be tempted to put him here)
Tough to pick a bench
14 Mason - Off the bench impact player
15 Cross or White
16 Anasta - cover lock and halves
17 Gidley - reserve hooker but will cover anywhere in the backline if needed |

ah?
anyway, a quote from Tim Sheen: "The fact there is two hookers, half a dozen halfbacks and a dozen second rowers all vying for spots is probably the health of the game."
not necessarily means a strong team though, QLD had been good and one of the reason is the stable line-up and the ability to form combinations over a number of years.
It would be interesting to see if there's any surprise inclusions in this NSW team. |

Since there's a Maroons thread, I might as well open up one for the NSW. There are still a number of possibilities for the starting side
Would be interesting to see who get the nod for the no.9 between Farah and Ennis. Where would you put Gidley and Stewart? What would be the halves combination?
Unlike the QLD side, there's just too much variables and no exact stand out players yet at this point in time.
If you are the selector, what would be your team? |
